My second concert in St. Paul was even better than the first in Madison. The large stadium was mostly full by the time Mark and company took the stage. Although the bulk of the crowd were there for Dylan, an interesting thing happened. Mark was on fire tonight! Song for Sonny Liston  (not normally one of my favorites) was phenomenal! As he played, ripples of audible awe and spontaneous applause would ring out over and over again which seemed to give Mark even more energy to up the ante. I noticed he kissed the Les Paul when he took it off

Sorry. Am tired. Time for bed. Privateering was played after Corned Beef City.

Well Val, I don't know much about BD and his recent work, but ERK came at a point in the setlist when Bob was still pretty peppy so I think it went over well. I do distinctly remember the song so he must have been more animated during it. Honestly though, I don't remember what the audience reaction to it was - I didn't remember that it was from Tempest or I would have been more observant.  Maybe it was just me, but in general the audience was very receptive to all of what Dylan offered up -  there just wasn't that electricty that was felt when Mark performed.

Thanks Rkd - I just found this recording of Bob's part of the show:

Mark sounds great on THC, but Bob's harmonica at the very end is......   :o

Vall, thanks so much for that link.
I very much wanted to hear how Don't Think Twice would sound. It was always one of my favorites.

Wow, love bob's phrasing on this one, mark is sublime as always, but this staccato ending with the band is as new as it is awesome....
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

Yes, on THC from St Paul, Dylan's phrasing is pretty sharp  and, also, the words are reasonably clear. What is noticeable is that Dylan is enjoying himself, which is not always apparent. You never know with Dylan what you're going to get but it gives a touch of optimism for what is to come.

On my screen, the image is quite small (was it sent from a mobile phone ?). Is it avvailable anywhere else with a larger image?

Both MK and Bob certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves!   :)
