Joan, I was thinking the same about the  two performers being female.  Will be an interesting question to ask Mark.

Here's some additional information about Pieta Brown.  She is the daughter of Greg Brown, an accomplished singer-songwriter (link attached).  Perhaps this is the MK connection .....

Didn't he say in an interview about Ragpicker's Dream/Old Pigweed that he prefers to listen to female singers?

She has a lovely voice and is a pleasant sort of girl.   She's also pretty.   Bo Ramsey is a good guitarist, but silly.   His rockin' days are over, but he sure tries hard.   Some one yelled "Bo Baby"  during one of his solo parts, and he grinned as wide as a human can, then played and hammed it up for that person for a while.    Wink

There is a very funny mention in all the Isaac´s blog entries where he cross his way with Pieta and Bob, he always say a polite Hello and they never answer  Shocked

About his hat:   forgive me for being  smart ass.   That high crown was designed to keep the head cooler with air, and the brim was designed wide to keep the sun and the rain off the neck.    Rolling it in certain ways would cause the rain to run off outside, not right down a person's neck.   The brim was also useful for shade.    All of these are important when you are riding for days in Nevada country gathering cattle.
Bo's hat is strictkly a cosmetic stage contraption.     I think he took it from Little Jimmy Dickens, who needed a tall hat indeed.        No self respecting cattleman would roll a hat that way.

I met and talked with Bo twice one in Oakland and Temecula.  He's not quite the guy that talks, but he answered some of my questions.

We bought Pieta's CD and got her to sign it and also a picture with her.  Very nice young lady, beautiful voice.  She mentioned at Temecula how she discovered DS.  So, she is a MK fan !!!  I told her how lucky she is to get to open for Mark
