Funny thing, looking for a completely diferent cd, I found a cd compilation a friend sent me long ago with MK colaborations, and it happens to have the Lee Fardon song, and I never noticed that, actually, I never listened to that song!!!!

Now you can listen to it as well

Not too much guitar on it, but very Knopfleresque  :)

Thanks Jbaent!   I enjoyed it - very MK indeed.  Whilst listening, I was reading the Lee Fardon chapter from Myles Palmer's  biography "Mark Knopfler" and it was interesting to read that they were mainly referred to as the Straits by members of that band!   ;)   In the light of all that has happened  recently, it gave me a little jolt!   ;D

Don't worry about your English, Jbaent!   It is far, far better than my Spanish, which is almost non-existent!   I must try harder!   ;D

If there is "Mahou" forget about "San Miguel", and if not Mahou, ask "Estrella".

San Miguel is probably the last choice for beers for almost everybody  :)

Thank you so much for the chance to listen to this version of the song. I have been looking for it for quite some time. I had even sent money in an envelope to Lee Fardon's address mentioned at his web - page, but unfortunately i got it back a couple of months later, with a "left with no new address".
I already have the record "God given right" with the track, but with no MK guitar and production. Instead we have a bouncy piano, but it is a fine song, anyway. I only knew that he was producing, but the guitar is really very MK like! Of course the same goes for a couple of songs at the "Knife" album by Aztec Camera, but it must be a very good imitator, since at the credits I couldn't find MK contributing any guitar, just producing.

By the way i am also looking for another collaboration of MK with Sandy McLelland. Anybody out there?
Come on, it is not funny anymore.
