That's the point, in my opinion he does NOT sing the song anymore, but TALKS it, nearly acting the lyrics - can't explain it any better, sorry..

Think I know what you mean.  At the start he does this I agree, but further into the song he starts singing and the last verse especially has far more feeling than before (or since Alchemy days anyway) IMHO.

Karaoke mode still applies though.  Guy cannot convince me that Jimbo does a solo here when all instruments are about the same level.  Pull the other one!

I have been wondering how long Ian Thomas will remain with MK. Some of his antics don't seem to mesh with Mark's professionalism - i.e. temper tantrums that involve throwing sticks, giggling with Mike during songs and, most embarrassing of all, sticking a drumstick up his nose while his boss is right in front of him playing a solo! He might as well be making rabbit ears behind MK. Anyway, when Mark tires of his antics, here's a replacement that is ready to go. She regularly wanders into a local drum shop and bangs away and then drifts off to places unknown. Hey, her hair color fits the MK band's theme!

That would be very sad for me! Ianto is a great drummer an a great guy as well. I find it great to watch him having fun with all the guys on stage. :-)

rkd, I know what you mean exactly an in earlier times it would have been totally unthinkable for MK band members doing this.. but I think MK starts the thing with his grinning during his "Plane imitation" at the beginning of the solo - he clearly laughs to Richard/Mike and Glen/John, and from there on, the good mood rolls over to Ianto... who carries it on to Guy, at least that's my impression... so no big deal. The drumming itself is as execellent as ever.

And I guess that is the important thing. I do very much like the urgency and energy Ian has added to the band as opposed to Danny's more swishy approach (can you tell I know nothing about drumming  ;D) and if MK doesn't care how Ian conducts himself on stage, then why should I?
