Of course all the AMIT ladies are far too young to have been there. :think

I got excited that my underground/overground train from Heathrow was going to stop at Turnham Green when I was down for the shows last year but it was the only station it didn't stop at!  I think it was being modernised. ::)

it was indeed closed during the weekend. Ive been there on friday and took a picture :)

I'm really poor using Photoshop.  I never use it for my photos except to convert formats or crop them as I'm old fashioned and feel it's a con.  Everyone has their opinion though.

1977??? Nope, couldn't be me, became fan in 1978. By the way I was white haired at that time, but not a boy ;-)
And first show was 1985 after I missed the 1983 one in Maaspoort (10 minutes walk from my house, was there from 3am to buy tickets and sold out before it was my turn)

But it could have been me. Just about the right size for my age, back then!  ;D
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

The Piccadilly line from Heathrow does pass through Turnham Green station but I believe the trains only stop there in the mornings and evenings, not during the day. It is also on the District line and, as I understand it,  those trains stop there more frequently.

Thanks for that.  Jogs the memory that it was the Piccadilly line train I was on.  Wonder if it was the eastbound train... :think

If travelling from Heathrow into the city, you were certainly eastbound. I used to take the Piccadilly line into town in my youth, before they built the Heathrow extension.

And I thought it was a nice touch that it was obviously photoshopped :)

Oh yeah, I didn't try to fool anyone for a minute.  It was so badly done it was an extra laugh.  Almost primitive! ;D

I was very disappointed. Didn't have experience with queueing at that time. I swore it would never happen again ..... and it didn't. From then on I spend a lot of nights in the cold to be sure I could buy a ticket for DS ;-)
