John Legend - I love, you love...
« on: April 16, 2014, 04:48:00 PM »
Hi!

I think we have discussed this before, but I just stumbled over it today. John Legends I Love, you love with a sample of Mark's guitarplaying from Tunnel of Love looped in the background. Very strange. Terrible song...

I wonder why Mark said :thumbsup to this... :P
It's the end of a perfect day..,.

OK, not our taste but not terrible! His voice is nice and his use of the guitar part creative enough to make a brand new song. Won't be listening to it much, since I much prefer toL!  :)
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

Well, his voice might be good, but it doesn't speak to me. Mark's voice is better in my opinion :) When it comes to the guitar part I think it sounds strange. The way it ends? Very abrupt. Not very clever in my opinion. But of course, my thoughts are not the law :)

I like it a lot. .. Just wish they had managed to somehow take the hihat hit out of the end of the loop of the sample used as I keep expecting the drums to come back in! Well selected sample though and John Legend is a quality artist

Oh my gosh... I really like this too!!!!!  Once I got past the odd pairing, I even learned to appreciate the fact that he did not remove the drumbeat at the end of the loop.  Odd, but rather clever.  And nice!!!

John Legend is a remarkable artist for me, particularly as a singer. Incredible voice. I also like the sample used for this track.
Fordie

A long time ago came a man on the track......

Horrible!

Having had to endure All of me at several weddings recently, I may use this as an excuse to say no more...
Hey, i`ve got a truffle dog - finally a song the ordinary man can relate too!
