Ebay Thread
« on: December 16, 2008, 04:22:40 PM »
I thought it would be useful to have a thread to discuss MK related items you spot on ebay. So this could include:

Items you have won.
Items that may be of interest to others.
Items that have now sold, but may be of interest due to the fact that they are rare/unusual.

For me, somebody got a bragain with this one:

i thought this would be about bootleg sellers on ebay.
can we have that on here too?
also saw a guy on the dutch version of ebay, "marktplaats.nl" offering tons of bootlegs, for a shitload of money, and they weren't even special.
could not find a "report" button...anyone knows??
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

Sure, all ebay related topics here.

I haven't reported for a while, will need to see if I can remember how to do it.

In the detail page of every single offer on marktplaats.nl you can press the line "in strijd met de regels" to report. But don't waste your time too much with that, marktplaats.nl is NOT like Ebay:
no registration of sellers (so after a removal due to your report the seller is back in a second)
no time limited offers
no legal obligations, the seller can refuse to sell even if you are the highest bidder, the bidder can withdraw anytime he wants
etc.etc.etc. it's a jungle....I used to buy there quite some items but only from known sellers

Best wishes,
Waldo

There seems to be a "report" button at the bottom of this page:

I can't believe that no-one snapped this one up. Looks like an MK version of GI Joe.

On second thoughts maybe it's not so surprising that it didn't sell.

Ha ha! Oh man, that looks weird. And only $500 to BIN, what a bargain!

Look at the guy's seller rating:  97.2     Bad news.
But a spoonful of forgiveness
Goes a long, long way
And we all should do our best
To get along

Brewer's Droop poster, never seen one of these before:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BREWERS-DROOP-DIRE-STRAITS-KNOPFLER-RARE-1972-UK-POSTER_W0QQitemZ250359882377QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Music_Music_Memorabilia_LE?hash=item250359882377&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1297%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

Also, a tour itinerary, these come up infrequently. Seems this has been printed from an electronic version so presumably they could make as many copies as they want.
