It was a very limited edition...

Same goes with All the road running and Shangrila vinyls.

That would be solved with reissues
You might get lucky, now and then

Pfff, in that case wealthy people would moan that their precious X would lose its value as with rare guitars, books, etc.

I can't get why it was necessary to make it in SUCH a limited editions :'(

I guess in 2002  not many people cared for vinyl editions. Officially.

A reissue is not the same than a limited edition.

The Les Paul reissue that MK had in the 80's doesn't worth the same that the original one (let's say "limited edition")

Fancy owning a watch previously owned by MK?

6 watches, 2 of which were Mark's personal property are being auctioned on eBay for the Brave Hearts charity - just search Knopfler watches.

Hope these are all serious bids as it's for such a great cause which is dear to Mark's heart.

As the owner of a vintage watch myself I think these are all so cool.  I hope an enthusiast gets one because Mark obviously has a keen interest in horology.  The IWC is the one to get obviously;  it must be worth tens of thousands.

Tens of thousands? Really? Wow!!
Someone might get a bargain then. Sadly not me. A great looking watch, but a bit out of my price range even at 2 grand.

Brand new an IWC can cost over £10k so with the history and rarity of this one it could well be a "bargain," yes.

I'd just love any of them but finances dictate!

Something for Alan Clark to frame and hang on his wall, although I think it is a little overpriced:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1958-Gibson-Mark-Knopfler-VOS-Les-Paul-Custom-Shop-Historic-58-R8-Lightweight-/192185410161

I believe that I'll can afford this instrument in the next 30 years or something only, but I can't stop drooling over it! ;D

As they said it in the Guitarist magazine, a perfect Les Paul. Mark nailed it again.
