some interesting licks, but it's not really a "classic" stratocaster tone as the bridge PU is a double coilded humbucker style one

I prefer him on Telecaster (juste a matter of taste  :)) :

well,a little too much for my taste. too much "show off"
(and funny, the other guitarist looks like Klaus Meine, Scorpion's singer  :o)

Yes JF, great version too. Prince was a bit megalomaniac. He had a lot of self confidence. You can see it in the next video I'll post after this and from the same Montreux festival than the first one at the beginning of this topic. He said at the end of the song "We are the best..." That was the way he was. He wanted always to make the Show..
