Hm. His answer was "I couldn't say" which also could mean that he just is still not allowed to tell us something. It IS not
easy for him and I am thankful that he offers us the opportunity to get some information AT ALL. Or of a glimpse of it.

I'd say that whatever MK is doing in his studio, it might be not HIS project, as far as they can't tell because it doesn´t depend on them... it´s something that MK has been approached to do, like when a film director calls him for a soundtrack...

Maybe he´s writting music to a big film, a documentary, a play etc etc etc, something that doesn´t comes from him directly but has been asked to do it and he thought that would be interesting.

That will explain why they can´t talk about it, as it´s not his project, and why are just MK and Guy working together, with a small band session...

So, if it´s this, it´s not a new album... but we already suspected that this was more than a MK album, which is not so mysterious at all...
You might get lucky, now and then

My guess it's just Mark getting even more and more excentric  :lol

It's just another album, guys. Perhaps there will be some special guests and that would explain the secrecy but I tend to believe it's just Mark being Mark, telling his minion to remain quiet.

While you're all waiting and guessing to find out what Mark is upto, you should check out the new Mike Oldfield album Return To Ommadawn :clap you want beautiful music? you got it, you want guitars? you got it. Best album you will hear this year without doubt.

On topic, maybe Mark has finally got around to writing a musical, there was a rumour years ago he was writing one with Lynda La Plante, but nothing came of it.
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

I think you are on to something re big film etc.. Unfortunately. Not so sure it is a new album for the reasons you mention above

From Guy´s forum:

Question:
A hot or cold kind of question…
This project, is something that MK has been asked to do by someone else, like when a film director asks him to compose the film score?
 Hot? Cold?

Answer:
Yes and no

Yes to "is something that MK has been asked to do by someone else"? or to "Hot"?

No to "like when a film director asks him to compose the film score"? or to "Cold"?

If it´s YES to HOT and NO to COLD, the project is a film, LOL

If it´s YES to something he´s been asked to do, and NO to film score, mmm, interesting... I bet for a documentary or a play, that would explain why there won´t be live dates...

It reminds me...

Q: Tell me, honestly, yes or no only, okay?
A: Fire away.
Q: Why do men like blonde jokes?!
A: Yes.

Already released.
