In Bad Mergentheim they have only standing.
Front of Stage is sold.
So normal standing behind the FOS section for you.
It is really a nice location.
You can sleep in the Gasthof Johanniter. Next to the gig.
Weather will be top on friday.
Go there!!!
Love will find a Way

Try to get a ticket for friday or saturday

When I think how I would have felt yesterday in Cologne with Dream played....
I'm going to find a picture of Sonny Liston and beat it to death ;)

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D hilarious. So, now we know, go to the first part of the tour and toward the end, who knows Mark may hear our distressed signal and play SOS again. :D

No possibility to come over friday or saturday?
Maybe it will be there again
Ok, I'm ready to be crazy again, but here is the challenge:
- For saturday on Stuttgart I could come but there are no seats available at all according to mk.com; so I'm complety dependent on a nice soul like Tunnel85 or Roman to sell me a ticket...
- For BAD MERGENTHEIM on Friday, there are some "seats" available, in the form of "standing" tickets only; now I will be at a customer site, and even if I was crazy enough to leave, this place seems to be in the middle of nowhere, I would need from Paris to take 3 trains for a total of 7 hours - impossible to reach on time...

Any suggestion ? ;)

Herlock, just think of the possibility of Submarine being played again.  where there's a will, there's a way.  ;)  Standing tickets are awesome. :thumbsup You can be at the front totally mesmerized.  Plus I'd love to hear your crazy and adventurous review.   :)

:clap :clap Yeah I like this song!!!

It seems that it took the place of Haul Away tonigt  :thumbsup. So is Mark playing Dream of the drowned submariner with the National? Are the electric guitar parts played by RB (if they are any)? Or maybe there is a grand solo in the end like KOG ?  ::)

Thank you again everyone involved for the live setlist  :clap :clap :clap :clap

I didn't see MK's reaction, I turned around to kill Pottel for this ;-p
I actually expected a new song already in Cologne, but it turned out to be today

Dream Of The Drowned Submariner = Best song made by Mark for years  :D :D :D :D
What a awesome surprise so late in the tour.
I love the song for so many reasons...... :-* :-* :-*
When I heard the album the first couple of times, that song touch my feelings so much......in fact to tears  :'( :'( :'( :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup
Everything Works in that tune.......vocal, lyrics and of course that guitar sound which only one man on earth can produce.........Mark Knopfler  :clap :clap :clap
The solo at the end........I can't find any Words to describe how much I love it.........Make me think about the solo in " Are We In Trouble Now "....at the same high high level  :think
Love Redbud, Love Go,Love, Love Yon Two Crows...........but the masterpiece on the record is without any doubts Dream Of The Drowned Submariner  ;) ;) ;)

And now played live in Halle tonight.......WOW  8)
" and it's your face I'm looking for on every street "

Sorry for the late report, but no smartphone for a live setlist and report. ;)

Was a great night and submariner was a big nice surprise. (Ingrid was right  :clap)
Really a great song live but not extensive or very different played from the album.
But, i love this song. It has for me this special feeling and the band brought it on stage.
I think that Nigel with the Clarinet is the key for playing this song live.

All in all a very nice evening.
Highlights for me submariner, sonny, speedway, privateering, going home, corned, father and son/hillfarmers and yes, romeo with Nigel.

Critics.
Besides the nice and for me new violin/bass part marbletown is a bit to long.
A shorter marble and instead one more song like gator or seattle would do it for me.
Wii was a bit off, maybe the sound in the beginning, and a more driving first encore as shangri would be fine.

What a great night and atmosphere that was!
And 2 wonderful surprises tonight 'Song for..' and 'Dreamed..'   I couldn't have wishes for more :)

I videod a couple of minutes of 'Dreamed..'  will put it online tonight.
During 'Song for..' Mark did some very nice tricks on guitar, including the melody-jumps which he did during Calling Elvis at some shows in 1996 (like Bern).
I'm soo much looking forward to the USB of this show!

The hall itself is mainly used as a tennis court. The roof was closed during the concert, but lots of sunlight in the hall, which made it a bit different & turned out good for the pics.
Outside the hall they were BBQ'ing and everybody seemed to enjoy some meat, potatoes and a cold beer.  A good start of the evening after a 3,5 hour drive. Just so glad that summer arrived a day earlier there :).

The band was great, very professional, with tonight Jason Statham instead of Mike (Mike didn't shave).
The audience responds was super during the Saxophone parts and when Jason played the bagpipe.

A wonderful night to finish my MK 2013 tour.
Thanks Dennis for the companion and arranging all the tickets :)
Looking forward to the next tour!
