"Special Guest" implies something similar to the shows he did with Clapton in the 80's as knopfling suggested.   I must admit I feel a bit disappointed if this is true.  Means we won't be seeing and hearing enough of MK - mainly BD!  :-\

It seems utterly ridiculous to me that these German shows are advertised and yet the news cannot yet be officially announced, even though we all know about them!    

Day after day we have heard "big news is coming" and now I don't really think it is so big!  In the end we may only see MK as a 20 minute special guest slot!  I hope it will be explained more fully before the tickets go on sale!

Although I don't understand why suddenly Bob and Mark hook up now (we don't know what's been going on in private of course), I still think the "special guest" version makes most sense. Hopefully, they'll play some of the songs from Slow Train Coming. Mark had some classic solos and licks on that record.
