Hi FFoma

Sent you PM. I have travelled to Russia a few times and saw MK there on the 2008 tour and this song Occupation Blues has a definite russian sound to it. I am not a musician so I cannot say exactly why but I think you understand :)

Answered, Max, check out your PM ;)

It's amazing how much music can say. Western Europe feeling just with couple of notes. Postcards from Paraguay also have same feeling of non-British music and that is more interesting it also have minor 7 flat 5 chord, like Occupation blues. Rare chord for MK, another song with it is Rudiger.

Oh, it's foma again with his ridiculous music theory ;D

The bonus songs are wonderful.

Does anyone know what country he sings about in "Occupation Blues"?

River of Grog is so sad, and so good. Reminds me of "Madame Geneva's"

I 100% about your sentence about Follow The Ribbon and Bob Dylan, it was totally clear that thsi song has Dylan relations..

Also, for me, it was 100% clear that Occupation Blues is about France - of course. Some people stated at AMIT lately that it reminded them of Russia, because of the melody, and I was really astonished about that. I am not saying that I am not totally wrong, but it is just so clear for me!  ;)

It is a Cha Cha Cha, isn't it? Would there maybe some South American influence because of that?

It's Cha Cha Cha, I confirm. About which country, I will give it a listen again tonight and will break my brains about it  ;)

By the way, such a PM with a link to "Your Perfect Song" would be greatly appreciated!

And where can you find the un-mixed studio 2-track versions or what it was? I have the deluxe set; should there be a link in there somewhere?

Sorry, I'm a little bit behind you guys, and don't know if this is what you all have known.  Someone told me there would be another B-side song which will come out from Japanese versions of the new album?  Anyone got some info about it?  Or is it just a rumour?

Wishes

My idea of heaven is a place where the Tyne meets the Delta, where folk music meets the blues.

I own the 2CD version - can't buy the album again for a couple of songs - if someone could PM or email me the link for the 3 B Sides + Your Perfect Song, I'd be extremely grateful!

Thanks

Thats the reason why we bought the 3cd version and/or the box version instead the 2cd, because we wanted to have that songs.

However, I
You might get lucky, now and then
