i can only recommend this to everyone that liked MK on Dylan albums, to me this has a very Knopfleresque feeling (produced by Daniel Lanois, another fave of mine, and it is clearly audible!)
perfect groove, dylan at his best imho.

where'S TWM when you need him?

I'd say this particular album is a good start if you're a typically non Dylan fan but wondering what the fuss is about. As pottel mentioned the high standard of Lanois production gives the record a very swampy / bluesy feel that appeals to most causal listeners.
My wife's two most common reactions to me putting on music are ".. not Knopfler again!" and ".. I'm tired of Bob Dylan.." but even she was struck by this record recently, and after a few songs had to ask "..who is this, it's really good?"

again struck by how amazing this album is, listening to "what was it you wanted"
lemme recommend this gem again to ALL of you
