I am looking for info about the next MK tour while listening to music  ;D
(sorry but I have lost interest in MK albums)
I can ask you the last album that you bought? ::)
Privateering.
great album, but also tracker is  :thumbsup :thumbsup

I have both in my car for my daily travel to work and I discovered that Privateering has aged very well and I like almost every song, even the blues ones, except "Miss you blues" that still sounds as a boring nonsense to me, and that Tracker has aged for me very bad, I only can listen to "Laughs and jokes", "Basil" and then I skip every track until "mighty man", then skip until "Silver Eagle", and from there, skip songs until "Oklahoma ponnies" and "Time will end of sorrow", the rest are so boring to me that I can't stand listening to them...
Interesting, from the top of my head, I only still dislike seattle, submariner. Love all the rest, particularly miss you blues, do not understand the hate

Because it's a boring song, with boring lyrics and boring music that even is not by MK but from an old Woody Guthrie song, a total waste of space in Privateering that could had been saved for better songs like "River of grog" or "Occupation blues" that are far far far far better to me. To me, in a 0-10 scale, Miss You Blues is a 3. The other two mentioned by me are a 9.

"Seattle" is one of my favourites, a wonderful melody with very nice and evocative lyrics, "Submariner" is ok to me, non a favourite, but still far far far better that Boring miss you blues.
Hehehe

Everyone is a different world  ;D :lol

Just one skip on Privateering - "Blood and Water".   None on Tracker.   :)

You're actually SKIPPING songs by Mark Knopfler?! Are you serious? I mean, I agree about Miss You Blues being somewhat unecessary, but I'd never dream of skipping it. And regarding Seattle in particular, I'm lost for words. This is easily one of Mark's greatest songs – and thus automatically one of the greatest songs in the world. Tsssss.

If in a Mk concert I could skip songs, I would skip more than half of the show, and I'm serious...

I always get a beer and pee when he plays R&J live. Always...
And Tracker is a superb sounding album, but I only like Laughs and Jokes, Basil and Beryl.

Same here,  and after realizing that it is nothing but a habit over the last three decades to go to his shows, I decided not to go anymore.

Yet you still call yourself a fan, buy the albums and go to the concerts?    Just do what LE is doing and don't go if you are serious!   ;)

By the way, since quite some tours the excitement about the concerts is the planning, going abroad with friends, discover new cities, meet other fans etc with the excuse of seeing again the old boring man who used to be our rock idol when youngers.

I seem to be outnumbered here but I like both Tracker and Privateering very much.

I do all of that too and it still excites me to see MK on stage - even though his jokes are boring!   ;D   His shows never bore me though, I'm glad to say.  :)
