Thanks.  And not even on the official site yet!  Only several months after the first tour dates were announced. ::)  We all though that surely that was it - all finalised.  Wonder if there are any more now... :think  Another Crocks cock-up.

Thanks Pyroaction for putting this info on AMIT first!!  :wave :clap

My translation of the basic info:-
Over the last few years national and international artists make a summer visit to Carcassonne... And this will continue in 2013 as the Festival de Carcassonne 2013 has revealed its programming from June 19 to August 3, 2013, which is very attractive, judge fo yourself: Arctic Monkeys, Mark Knopfler, Two Door Cinema Club, Michael Sardou Saez, Orelsan, David Guetta, Sexion d'Assaut, Smashing Pumpkins, Benjamin Biolay, Patti Smith, Olivia Ruiz,-M-, Liza Minnelli, Marc Lavoine, Tryo, BB Brunes, Kery James and IAM, among others ...

Great news indeed.
Well, the french part of the tour is looking good, for the first time in PCM years.  :clap

Would have loved to be there, but it is just too complicated and also quite expensive to get there from here, even travelling with "budget airline"!   Carcassonne looks beautiful!   :)

Yes, these venues are all very beautiful but are in the middle of nowhere when travelling from abroad;  there are just no flights out to these places and certainly not from Scottish airports. :(

We did think about it, albeit briefly, because Ryanair (not budget airline  :disbelief) fly there from Liverpool (we live in Leeds), but evenso it was very expensive, the basic price for two people without all the extras was

The key point is whether you have cheap direct flight to Toulouse. From there take the train. Done.
If not Toulouse, Montpellier is another option.

Carcassonne is possibly the nicest venue of the tour.  I would like to go too but it's pretty far and PC/MK have sent me up in Germany two days before.
And the presale is coming so quick... What saves me is I don't trust the presales anymore. Will probably wait for the regular sale to decide.  :think

The only date available for Toulouse by Jet2 is 24th July and would be too late for the concert!   :-\

What a beautiful venue for A DVD though!   :)

Unfortunately, no!
But MK is free on July 23rd and Lyon could be a nice stop-over between St Julien en Genevois and Carcassonne.

I dont like that playing in Festivals. Some of them usually happens in places (many times not cities, like the end of the GL tour that happened in the middle of the forest) not very easy to reach for most of the fans that doesn
You might get lucky, now and then

I think the 23rd  will remain free. If not that would mean 7 shows in a row from Loerrach 21st to Malaga 27th. Unlikely
July 20th would fit very well for Lyon or Montreux.
Also July 7-13 week gives some hope.  ::)

Already last september I said a couple of times that I couldn't imagine that this was it!
I can't imagine no Swiss dates, so festival of Montreux could indeed be possible again.

I won't do this one in France, but if Switzerland will have a date I definately go  ;D

That's great!  I'm certain that you'll have a marvellous time down in the south of France.
