A silly poll but not too shabby for BIA

Nice that it's remembered. Some real crap above it.  :)

Any Coldplay, Keane and Duran Duran album greater than Dark Side of The Moon, sorry, I don't think so.
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

Annoys me that none of the other DS albums ever get any recognition when polls like this are revealed (although no surprise).  BIA is by no means the best album from DS.

Agreed. But it is always voted in for being the most well-known by non-fans.

I know - I would just like to open everyone's ears to the joys of the other albums and I'm sure they would change their mind! ;D

Agreed again. If only they knew there was already a band called Dire Straits before BiA...

It seems that a lot of artists are represented by one album all the time.  DS have BIA, Pink Floyd have Dark Side, David Gray White Ladder ;) etc.

This was an one album per artist poll. I wonder what would the results be if many albums were allowed. Beatles would certainly be there with 3-4 albums, Pink Floyd as well.
Yes suprisingly, Duran Duran came third! Coldplay and Keane are new-ish bands, so they have a boost from their active fan base. No Radiohead!!!! I would certainly put The Bends ot OK computer in there.
Hey how about each of us composing his own 100 records! One slot per artist, but represented by various albums (in order to avoid the 20 first places being reeserved for DS and MK) . Anyone? Shall I start a new thread?
Come on, it is not funny anymore.
