Title: MK.Com tickets
Post by: Simon on April 29, 2010, 06:15:26 PM
Hi has anyone had any bad experiences obtaining tickets from the venues on the night of the shows, that they had pre-booked through the Mk website or has it all gone exceedingly well? :-)

That is a very good question! I was about to ask the same in the not too far future... No desire for waiting for hours in front of the RAH or Hamburgs Arena... So people from the US and Canada, please tell us! ;)

According to the posts I have read on MK.com, everything went very smoothly, but that it was wise, perhaps to collect them around 6.15pm, because the queue was bigger later on.   :)

That's good to hear. I was going to contact the venue the day before to see what the arrangements were likely to be.

Another thing - it would be good to hear from people who have used this ticket facility as i am interested to know if it is the venue staff that deal with the tickets on the night of the shows and is there a special booth set up for it. Like a VIP ticket collection facility! :-) haha as if!

Thanks in advance.

I picked up my tixs from  Temecula without any problems at all.  I showed the gal my ID, she gave me the tixs  without questioning.

It went very smoothly.

I had no problem at all at 2 shows, only had to show ID, usually at will call you have to show credit card also, but for forum pre-orders apparently it was unnecessary. Everything was very smooth.

I went to the Temecula and first LA shows, and the ticket process couldn't have gone more smoothly. I was quite early both times, but my tickets were at will call. On the email I received from MK.com, it said I'd have to have the credit card with which I bought the tickets, plus a photo ID, but both places only asked for the photo ID.
At LA, they had a table set up outside for MK.com buyers, but since I was there quite early, I got mine at the regular will-call window. I did see people getting their tickets at the outside table, which was around the corner from the main entrance.

I mailed mk.com that my creditcard expired between date of ordering and date of the shows. So I would have a new one with a different number. They replied that only ID was good enough. I think I am not the only one with this problem and they simply didn't think about things like that before I asked. So they skipped the creditcardpart when collecting your tix I suppose.  :)

I was concerned about that - at least a third of people who ordered this way will have a credit card that expires within 12 months of ordering or less (on the basis that most cards last for 3 years).
