So maybe a seperate Reviews thread then? With spoiler alert in the title?

I don't think it's necessary to spread the information on multiple threads when it can go here, it just make it more difficult to follow everything
You might get lucky, now and then

All reviews in one thread (with spoiler mentioned) and our thoughts in this one seems ok to me

I only suggested it because this thread now has 50+ pages before the release. Just thought it would be easier to find the actual reviews in a dedicated thread.

If we only post reviews in that thread it's a very good thread with overview! Let's discuss the reviews overhere ofcourse.

Not too enthusiatic about what that German review said about some songs. Sax  :-\ on River Towns - hmmmm not too sure - and I have high expectations for
Laughs & Jokes and Drinks & Smokes, but a fiddle that makes it sound like a traditional folk song.. hmmm...  ::)  Mighty Man with accordeon and flute...  :think  hmmm..

the story about the clock is sweet though.

Those would make great song titles.

That nice (and young) lady at the Media Markt in my hometown was asked today by Mr. Love Expresso that a new Mark Knopfler album was about to be released next week - "March 13th, she answered in no time, which made me happy and I wondered, should she really know that artist?
I asked "maybe you have it the day before?" and she answered "yes, pretty sure!"
So if I am lucky, I will have the CD next Thursday, which is almost only one week away! I will let you know if I have it!  ;D

According to the review I recently posted in the reviews section nearly every song seems to be slow or slow-ish. It is said to grow slowly on you, they said the same about KTGC and that one hasn't even begun to sprout one bit for me since those last 10 years...   >:(

The presumably bad side...

One relaxed Irish ballad.
One fairly slow
One soft song with slow intro
One is slow
One is just "Wherever I go"  ;)
One is rather slow.

- - -

And on the good side...

One breathes the air of Ireland
One is more rock, but not particularly original
One is more rock, a nod to JJ Cale
One is a crossover between folk and rock (well, this is Lights of Taormina)
One is classic DS (Beryl)

"Fudge" this... Hope is now given to the bonus tracks.

I feel anger.

It's time to ditch those tin whistles and citterns. He's been doing that Celtic thing since Local Hero and Cal, for goodness sakes. It is getting old. Like that Riverdance fad in the 90s.

Edit: Ok, anger is too much said. But it does NOT look promising. And that oilskin jacket and sixpence image in the video - it's like a Range Rover commercial for the VIP section at Wimbledon. Bleh.

Only thing missing is Paul Franklin, on the pedal tweed.
