Thanks foma! Mark's daughter, Issy, attends that college, I believe. :)

Thanks foma! What a nice picture.
Another example how important and precious this forum is since we would loose news that could/should be on an official news site.

Love that hitchhiker story, and it makes me think
a) what made that man leave Mark alone on the motorway, was he misbehaving so that he was left there and
b) how many of all those nice little stories he might remember and how great it would be to read it all in his own words in an possible autobiography ..
dreaming..

I read that story elsewhere, I recall something about a snow storm and that it was impossible to continue by car, but MK can

Thanks for the article! Yes the story is well known from the Miles book. The thing that makes me sad, from this article is the last line, about selling 120 million records. I understand that you have to make a living from what occupies most of your time, but stating the unique selling success of MK as a way to prove that if you work hard enough you will make it, is simply misleading. Music and all other jobs in our world are becoming more of a Roman arena, rather than classical Olympic races.

After 10 years of listening Mark's music I kinda want to buy this book. If histories like that are in it, I'll definitely buy it. Saw it on Ingo's store...
Yeah, they could write about all Mark have now instead just this stock 120 million copies. Anyway, who counted this? And what about digital-era?

Mark looks good on that picture. Not so fat as he appeared lately, at the EC/JJ Interview for example.. ;D

Magazines, interviews, etc always trot out the same old "120 million copies" and it's been the same for years and years. ::) I think I read somewhere a while ago that it was now 150 million copies. :)

I have even cooler quantitative-monetary definition of Mark's success. Take his average net worth (again, what all the magazines and websites says), around 100 million dollars. Mark said in another interview that magazines write only half of what he got. So it's 200 million dollars.
Mark wrote 200 full songs with lyrics and melody. That would mean... 1 million dollars for each song! Now that's what I'd call a success :)

And helping us with our guitar beginners class is..............

The picture is pleasant to look at.
I have a vivid recollection of those well-worn concert slippers... :)
