In the foreground of the picture you can see the Mercedes-Benz-Arena, formerly (until 2008) known as the Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion). The actual venue for tonight is located in the background.

Great! Nice to read he was obviously in a better mood than in Cologne 8)
And damnit, I knew I should have tried harder to get a ticket for Stuttgart, LOL ;D
-
Excellent, Marky! Congratulations, and glad to read MK's in a good mood after such a long time on the road.

new shirt ;D
That's SOME change! Yay! ;D
I wonder if he'll change more than his shirt in Munich tomorrow. It's open air and all, and it's the perfect occasion to dig out Cleaning My Gun again... Just saying ::)
-
OK, who wants to see the new shirt? Anyone? ;D
-
me, me, me....
-
Maybe they've been to Hugo Boss again? You know the outlet center in Metzingen near Stuttgart?
-
mm, gotta talk to my former boss, he is leaving our company to go to Hugo Boss, need to stay in touch, will be practical in 2012!!

no visit to Boss
Stuttgart, Germany...24 June,2010
24-Jun-2010
A good night's sleep and I felt much better than I have in the last few days. A pot of coffee and some stale bread sent to the room. This hotel receives 0 Lux'm, the measurement of luxury on the ITLO Scale (In The Lap Of). It's a tired old 60s place, the operative word being tired. Once more I whittled away about three hours playing guitar, on a serious practicing jag and have made some good headway and a couple of big discoveries. I've not been this anxious to have a guitar in my hands since I was first learning. Second childhood I suppose.
I did venture out for a walk about 2 o'clock, but the hotel is located in an odd area, no shoppes to speak of, so it was back to the room, pack, shower and down to the gig.
Schleyerhalle was tonight's venue, capacity nearly 10,000 and our usual venue in Stuttgart. Another fab German audience and a great show from MK and Co.
A runner back to the hotel. Tomorrow it's on to Munich.
So long,
Richard

Is this a completely new shirt? If so, I'm shocked! :o ;D
Pottel, why don't you show him something from your company? ;D
-
already thought of that, not sure how to go about it :-)

That's just sooooo great ! How did you manage to get the autograph? Did you guys get the picture with him too ?
-
We were simply lucky. Usually, he does NOT stop at all. It seems as he tries to avoid fan contact and signing at all. He has to sign 50 litho prints everyday, probably enough for him anyway.

Hi,
old topic here, but it is all soo boring these days that I googled a little bit about the Get Lucky tour. I found this clip on YouTube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgWVbiT5iDo
and was astonished about the really good quality! I thought I share with you what I found, not only because of that unusual shirt!
If you choose the 720p modus and put it on your screen it is really great to watch. Don't know who filmed this, maybe someone from this forum?

"Unusual Shirt" is a good enough reason for me! ;D ;D
Nice vid indeed!

The YouTube-poster wrote that he used this camera. ( Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10). I was thinking about buying that one lately, too. Would a camera of that type
be allowed to be taken into MK shows or is it too professional? That camera policy is somewhat ... complicated for me to understand...
LE
-
LE, that type of camera would certainly have been allowed under the policy for the last several MK tours.
I think most of what they are banning are the SLR/DSLR types with interchangeable lenses.
Most so-called "point-and-shoot" types of cameras have been allowed at the venues I've been to.
-
Thanks, Knopfling!
That camera seems to be a good one fo live concert filming, referring to the quality of that clip. I wonder how MK would react if I was sitting in the first
row and trying to film the whole show with this camera... :lol

I guess a revised policy stating "no photographic equipment anymore"

These small HD cameras are really intriguing me. Think I'm going to have to get one, and the Zoom models have HQ sound as well.
All I need now is discreetly stick it onto a hat with gaffa tape.

Aha, so SLRs are (morally) forbidden but cameras with build-in HD cameras are (morally) allowed, interesting...

I don't think morals come into it. I'm sure MK would like to ban both.

That's true. I should have added that I was referring to my observations of all those fan talks that were going on during the tour. Because I, for instance, was given the impression SLRs are morally wrong because they are forbidden, but compact cameras are okay, even if you stick them directly under MK's nose.
Personally, I think SLRs can be less disturbing than those little

Must be "Secret World Live". One of my favourite live DVD's for a long time! With the great fabulous Paula Cole... 8)
LE
-
Yes, that was the DVD 8) Paula Cole is great, I like her singing on "Don't Give Up" much more than Kate Bush's. But my favourite version of that song is from the POV concert movie, where Peter sings it alone :P
By the way, this was my view during the In Extremo concert Wednesday night... I would have preferred a lighter. Oh and before you ask, yes I took that picture with an SLR but I was there on official mission.
