Have you heard a recording of HFB from Manchester Pottel?   Yes, it was amazing,  I would like to hear that and anything else from that M/C concert, if possible!    :)

I think this reply today on Guy's forum, speaks volumes about Dylan's personality:

....how approachable is mr zimmerman?

Guy:   Re. Bob, I smiled at him today, wasn't returned.

A smile in return, doesn't cost a penny - he is just ignorant, that's all!   He didn't even have to say anything - just smile!   ::)

I was about to post this statement myself! I find it so cool from Guy to tell us, it shows what a strong character he is, it seems he couldn't care less about Bob or maybe has pitty with him. Guy is really cool,
whereas this Bobness-coolness goes onto my nerves...

He really should be friendly to the people of the other band, at least when someone smiles to him...

I got a copy from my friend last night, he got the full thing, not too bad, definitely listenable. a few whoops here and there and a bit of crowd noise but overall not bad for something he took on his phone/dictaphone app. there are noticeably a couple of moments where they turned the volume up where there is a little distortion on the tracks but this is very minimal. I'm a total computer nonce but if anyone on here would like me to send them a copy of the cd they can make it available to evryone else online or whatever/however you do it.  8)
Please, Have a look at my link. Even if you don't want to make a donation it raises awareness about a very important issue. Thank you - http://mobro.co/adymartin

You can't make your mind on just one experience.

You don't know what Bob has in mind at the precise moment and he may not notice that somebody relatively still unknown from him did give him a smile or try to catch his attention.

I mean if this would be repeated everyday with everybody you could deduce that Bob is in constant ombragous mood.
But on a single time, this is just a fact and has to be taken as it, no more no less.

But the fact is, according to Guy, that Bob is just like that and it isn't the first time!   There are NO excuses for his ill-manners!   It is called ignorance.  He should recognise Mark's band by now, for goodness sake!   >:(

Wether he recognized him or not is irrelevant, when somebody-anybody- smiles at you, you smile back, simple as that.

but like you rightly point out DS, we don't know what was going on in his head at that moment, so we can't judge on that only....

Well, a legend is a legend, and many of them have a "diva" style, Bob looks like one of that kind...

True, but I have problems with that.

I have often wondered, if MK (or others artists I like) was a "diva", would I still enjoy listening to his music? Would I want to see him live every time he tours?

Does the fact that he seems to be an humble man adds to my appreciation of his work?

Discuss.... ;D

In reply to my post to Guy re Bob's attitude:

I can't agree...Bob is Bob. He's a living legend and we are all grateful for this opportunity. If he doesn't want to smile at me, cool, he may have seen my camera strap and looked away, can't blame for that, he doesn't even know me. He may never know me....but hey, what the fuck do I know? I'll tell you what I know...I love my job and I'm having a ball.

That's OK then!    ::)

Personally, I'm getting a bit tired of hearing this tag "living legend"!   What the heck is a legend anyway?  :)

some of you guys really need to get over Dylan. Why does what he does matter atall? He personally invited Mark and his band to open for him, thats a hell of an honour for a guy who doesnt have previous for doing this.

Why is he a legend? thats a question too stupid to even merit a response!

Just to add. Bobs obviously a weird guy. Joan Baez said hes one of the most complex people shes ever met and he has strange mood changes.

Hes also very reclusive and stand offish, rarely gives any interviews either. So it doesnt surprise me.

It seems very bad mannered, but not much that can be done about it. I certainly wont let that affect my appreciation for his music.
