Anyone going to the concert?
-
The concert is on invitation only. So I don't think someone from this forum is invited
-
I think there may be a lady on our forum who has the most luck to be there. Am I right?

Do you mean Martina? ;D
We all hope anyone could attend that show in Guy

In my opinion too much private shows, good for the charities, bad for the fans. We should ask some rich people to join us, hehehehe
Oh, I forgot another wonderful man, haven't you been rich enough to be invited? ;) Just kidding, but yes, I agree with you, Julio.

I really like this pic from Guy
-
he was in a good mood on wednesday too.

Lots of nice pics at Guys site in general. He clearly has a great potential as a photographer. Too bad he's so reluctant in getting a proper SLR camera with good high-ISO performance. His indoor pictures would gain really significantly. I can understand his disliking of flash but with compact camera you'll always get blurry shots at such low-light conditions.

I'm a rangefinder man myself. What with lighter weight, no internal mirror, smaller lenses and lightweight fabric shutters then slower shutter speeds are easier to obtain handheld without camera shake. And most developing shops now will put your photos onto a disc for you to put them on your computer if you want to use them on a web site. D-SLR's suffer horrendous problems with dust if the lens is changed often and SLR lenses are no comparison in quality to rangefinder ones because they are always designed to a compromise; they mustn

Yeah, definitely rangefinders are great if you have time to play with developing film etc. New D-SLR's are designed as lightweight and easy to use cameras with much better optical performance than any compact camera. I thought in Guy's case a nice little SLR would be perfect. You get your pictures immediately (especially important if you're on the road) and there's really no need to change lenses if you have a nice zoom.
Do you have a Leica, dmg?

Yes. I use a leica M4 after many years of SLR use including a medium format Hasselblad but I wouldn't change my Leica for anything!

my dad is a photographer and he is in love with leica and class cameras like that,I think he has a leica m7

Yeah, the M7's are lovely - my M4 was made in 1967 and still looks like new!
Leica make digital M series cameras however and have just announced an M9 digital which I'm sure Guy could afford! ;D
-
yeah lol my brother keeps talking about the M9 ,I am not into photography that much but I still like filmmaking and editing :)
