It's as easy as this, in this community we have the rule not to upload official stuff. Fanmade DVD's or CD's is fine, but no things like this. We all are very happy someone made this available. When I see all the new members in the last few days a lot of people are interested in it.

We have another rule in this forum and that is that we are polite to each other. You can disagree but always stay polite.
That's why we make the difference sometimes:
"Can someone PM me" sounds like demanding.
"I heard some of you have this recording, does someone wants to PM to me, it would make me happy" sounds much more friendly and the chance someone actually will send it is much higher.

I hope all the newbees are happy to be here and I hope they will be involved in the discussions over here as well.

I hope everyone now understand it and I hope we will have a lot of great discussion here with all of you.

What happens if it is released as a single and we post it on the internet freely for anyone to download.  This is a nice community of MK fans who are here for one reason.  Those of us who have shared it would buy it. Twerps are not needed.

Its not released yet then its not official. If you think different then you've already started unauthorized distribution.
You just want to decide who's gonna get the song and whos not. Will your day be ruined if anyone who want be able to freely listen to the song? This is called nice community? Oh please...

It's really not 'begging' its just a way of NOT having an open link on the net - probably will not last. But like I said, anyone bothering to follow this topic, join AMIT and ask for the song, is obviously nerdy about Knopfler enough to buy the CD anyway, guaranteed!

Everyone who asked for it, got it, even you. For somebody it was quick, for others dont, I pm'ed many people myself.

The difference is some people asked about it politely, some dont.

This is the nicest community you can ever imagine, actually if you ever got the chance to listen to it, was because of a very nice person from here.

Just listened via Soundcloud, absolutely brilliant. If the rest of the album is up to the standard of the 4 songs we've already heard then I think this could be one of the best Knopfler /DS releases to date.

Just had a listen and I can honestly say it is such a great song already. Marks vocals just get better and better. We never have to really comment on his songwriting capabilities as it's always of the highest order. Stuck my headphones on and the song really was so awesome. The guitar tone is exquisite and the melody top notch again.... WOW. Can't wait to hear the full song.
