Just like Lars, 18 and diehard fan since 2001!
Visited 13 shows since,
Keep hoping for many more!

I managed to buy and download a big collection of albums(all  the official ones) and live-stuff.
I realise I want to share my 'rare' stuff with you:
plectrums + drumsticks from 2001, photo+autograph from 2003, drumsticks from 2005, Mark pointing at me in Rotterdam 2005 after my second show in a row(did he recognice me?)(there's a picture of it, I believe it was taken by Henk Pestman, but I'm not sure)had a glimpse of him at a tour at the RAH back in 2010.

Great feeling returns when writing this! ;D

Still have the dream to meet him once!

I am at the older end of the age-range here and I always feel accepted and welcome when I meet younger fans from this great forum!   :)

From Guy today:

Q   Hi Doc! The version of Redbud Tree playing in radios is 3 minutes length. Is it a radio edit or complete? Thanks

Guy:  I don't think there IS a radio edit        :-\

Haha, we will get two CDs, every one 41 minutes long ;D

Edit: Well, the first single was edited for radio every time I think, I remember very similar 3 minutes radio edit for Border Reiver was used three years ago, maybe GF just does not now about this version...it really looks too short for MK song...

Next year I'll certainly join the meeting before the gig. I have never seen people from AMIT in real life and I'm looking forward to it;D About Redbud Tree: I think we have to wait and see. Maybe Guy doesn't know about an radio edit, could be! I hope that it is a radio edit, would love to hear some more in the song!

On this site the track lenght is 3'18"

http://www.ultratop.be/fr/showitem.asp?interpret=Mark+Knopfler&titel=Redbud+Tree&cat=s

It refers to the "promo digital single " but after Guy's answer I believe we'll find the same version on the CD (although Guy is sometimes not well-informed about the decisions of the record company)

I am not sure about that. I agree with Lars that Guy could be wrong about this.
Or did you find another source for conformation JBaent?

If it's the final version, I don't see the importance of Ruth Moody singing backing vocals as I can hardly hear them...
I would have loved an extended version ! :'(

That's a pity. But who knows with what they may come up live. An extra solo, extended intro e.g!
