Who is also attending? I'm going with my dad.

I will ! And will by the deluxe box of course.
-
Yes, we have tickets for the Cinematic screening.....
-
I will and probably will write an article about it and the box release
-
I have my ticket too ! And will by the deluxe box too :)

Will the complete show be shown in Cinema's? I mean, is it exactly the same as on DVD/Bluray?

yes it seems so. The movie length announced is 2h long
by the way, it's a comp from 2 shows, and the deluxe box comes with more than 1h bonus from the tour, obviously not shown in cinema
-
I see the full concert is 148 minutes, and the Cinemashow seems to be 114 minutes. :think
So they have to cut off 30 minutes. :o

I guess they are going to leave out some of the Gilmour solo songs and center in PF stuff...

I hope 'In Any Tongue' is included...

Back from it on Paris.
I met Elian (Poupistar !).
I'm disappointed on 3 grounds:
1) The show is heavily edited. 1 hour 40 minutes only. In any tongue is there. But no Money (!), No Faces of Stone, no Coming back to life, No Fat Old Sun, No On an Island nor the Blue...
2) The atmos sound was supposed to be terrific but did not sound surround at all, just normal good stereo to me... Quite flat.
3) The 4K picture looks quite ordinary. A bit overexposed.
The good thing is performance quality. Better performances than those I attended. No noticeable mistake, great arrangements. Maybe overdubs ??
-
Agree, but i liked it very much. ;D
-
yes I was wrong, it was not the entire show
I kiled it very much too
I hope to publish an article this afternoon

does anyone know how many people were in the audience aproximately ?

You mean in Pompeii? Or in the cinema? ;)
The Guardian:
David Gilmour returned to perform a one-off concert to a select crowd of about 3,000 people, at the foot of Mount Vesuvius (Don't know it that's per night, or total of 2 nights)
-
thank you :wave
-
What was the song playing during the end credits?
Was it 'And Then' or 'Beauty' from the Rattle that Lock Album? I'm not quite sure.
-
here is my article (sorry, in french):

oh man this box is such a joy.
the show itself, nothing short of mindblowing
the additional stuff,....and then the tour documentary, simply beautiful, and exactly what i as a fan would like to see.
also interesting, but also mentioned on here elsewhere is the Wider horizons documentary that is added as well and which was shown on tv earlier this year. so much insight about Gilmour, the way he opens up, privately....wow..

Indeed this box is wonderful. Why is not MK doing this ??!
My only regret is that the bonus disc does not include all the songs from Wroclaw with the orchestra, especially Faces of Stone and High hopes for which the orchestra adds some depth...

I know. That's because I saw them that I say they would have deserved an official release :)

Just saw th BR, and the Confortably numb is mindblowing here.
Liked so much the entire concert.

Right? Mark is so far away from this level of fan pleasing. I am not necessarily talking about the guitar playing itself, but this release is so full of treasures....

We have to choose between Mark who tours every 2 years and has a live release every 10 years
and David who tours every 10 years and has a live release every 10 years.
Mark still wins ? ;)

I bought the deluxe version with 2 blurays and 2 cds. The box is esthetically gorgeous and full of interesting extra material.
Unfortunately however Pompei is poorly mixed. DG voice and guitar too loud, other instruments too low or in same cases even absent, absurd.
The overall experience is heavily worsened by the poor mix.
If you listen to the Wroclaw 2016 TV Broadcast, it's mixed much much better and obviously it's much more enjoyable.
Basically just like in 2006 the first live release has major mix problems. Then a 2nd one (Gdansk) was released.
-
Gdansk is not that good 'cause of loudness war.

Imo Gdansk is the only well mixed of the 3 official releases from the last 2 tours

yes that's 'remember that night' it's like listening to it with a glass between you and the speakers, don't know what the hell they do with these live recordings

Mark has done the same with A night in London, Real Live Roadrunning and recently Hurlingam.
Would love to see 2002 shows, as Quality Shoe was released for free (but not Why Aye Man, which is only available as a video clip on the TRD bonus disc).
-
MK needs to put out a live dvd/Blu-ray that is up to his usual excellent production standard.
If roadrunning...is the best visual document he leaves behind as a solo artist, that would be a shame :(

Yeah, the video filming angles are not good.
Great versions of IDUAD, SAN, SFA, ATRR, RAJ, OSL though
