Hey AMIT, yesterday I made a backing track for ‘Feel Like Going Home’ live version with Tom Jones and decided to play Mark's solo over it.
So I learned the solo and recorded it, yes, all in one take in one evening. I have no Les Paul, so I had to imitate this sound on my Strat.
So my question is — do any of you want to see some more of these solos recorded on the video? Since it takes me minutes to learn any solo.
I had this idea of 'Lick of the Day', where I'd play some of my favourite Mark's solos and licks, but I don't know if it would be interesting.

Sounded great! Keep it up :)
I can hardly hear any fuzz pedal ;D

Fab! Keep going - "Lick of the day" would be a great idea.

It is always difficult to me to listen someone else doing that sort of thing once I found a reference version (Snape90 for that one). And sometimes it is hard even from The Man himself. But what I am hearing is you obviously handle it. So with a LP and the proper material it may sound even better. Great job.

Thank you, it's funny because I almost have no idea how to play on electric guitars, specially solo. All my life I played acoustic exclusively.

Thank you! This is why I love LP, in a way Mark have no any 'signature sound' on it, sound of LP belongs to everybody and I feel more comfortable recreating Mark's solos done on it. I have a Strat, but almost never played any of his Strat solos. I learned Waterline 10 years ago only :lol

I never learned to do a proper imitation of MK, which was my goal at first.
That's why I switched to playing slide 15 years ago ;)
And I'm glad I did :)

I never wanted to, but it's funny sometimes :lol
I would love to switch to slide someday. Why not...

Great tone Foma ! :thumbsup
if you shouldn't have said it, we could believe it's a LP !
as for learning to play a solo note per note I'm not really into this although I admire people who manage to do it

In my opinion, it's one of the best solos MK has ever created. And you got it very beautifully, again, Foma. Thanks for sharing!

Yes, it's one of the solos I'd give a listen to a person who asks me what music do I listen. If he doesn't like it, so I'd rather just stop talking.

great job , no doubt.
did you create a TAB for this( and would you share it?) and is it in the same key as the original or did it need a pitch for Tom's voice?

Good rendition. Great tone and sound.
