The interesting fact...

Rehearsals for the Dylan tour are in september too...

If I was MK i will use this gig as a warm up gig for that tour, you have the boys in London rehearsing, so that will be the icing on the cake...

It would be nice if the gig is played by the real band instead of the promotion gang.
You might get lucky, now and then

Well Danny wouldn't be able to make it anyway because he's in training for the next Olympic games! ;D

Your lucky Brits - wish all of you good luck to catch a ticket.

Is it again at Shepherd's Bush?

Hope for a couple of good pics to soothe our sadness. :'(

Would be great if someone of you will make it to the show. I had two tickets for the Amsterdam KTGC showcase in 2007. It's one of those must have experiences in life so I know how it feels when winning such tickets. ;)

Just downloaded the iTunes festival app and the 26th September is still free. Maybe Mark will perform at the roundhouse in London?

Hhhhmmmm ........It must be great to have a little show with Mark and a few others!  :P

Knopflerized I hope you don't have serious health problems and wish you get well soon!  :-*

Hey I am just thinking about it ......*Yeahhh you all might think I am crazy*.....  but imagine when there
once will be a special gig for AMIT members and for the fans who write at the other MK forums,
then sure the people who support him always have a change for a gig as this too!  :P

Well I must be crazy too then because I was thinking the same thing!  It occurred to me that this competition (being only open to Amazon UK) may be won by a very casual fan.  Then I browsed this forum regarding the gig, saw the interest and thought it would be a nice idea if us, the real fans were invited.  I mean we've bought the albums, tickets etc in the past and we'd enjoy it the most.  Why not?

DMG - if you seriously believe that fans hoping for tx via Amazon are less deserving or "real" than the fans who post here, then you really do need to get a life imo.

I agree with you Difficulttobeleive, AMIT is not the only MK fans forum or association ! Spanish city, AFMK .... are also real fans !

I know exactly what DMG means, it happened here in Holland before as well:
People winning tickets for the showcase. Most of them entered because of the name Dire Straits. After the showcase they were moaning: why not more DS songs, I didn't know he was solo, I didn't know most songs .......
I think that real fans LIKE we here in AMIT (and other fansites) deserve something like this more. We buy all CD's, most of us even more than one version. We go to concerts, a lot of us to more and some of us to a lot during the same tour.

All I meant was that I would rather see the competition winner be a genuine MK fan like ourselves who would really appreciate the prize than someone who has maybe never seen him live before and never bought an album.  There are probably many genuine fans entering through Amazon as well as "tourists." :)

Ouch, harsh words imo.
