How was the concert overall ? (didn't attend this one, but will be there again tomorrow) ... was it a better show than yesterday ? And how was the crowd today, beacuse yesterday I thought the crowd seemed more enthusiastic and more into it than in 2008 !

Btw, glad he did the Bird today (not one of my favorites) .... am hoping for WAM, CMG and GL for tomorrow's concert ...  8)

How to make a successful HMH experience

1) Have a good night in your hotel located on the direct metro line to the venue .
2) Have a good not too early breakfast.
3) Go out in Amsterdam for a relaxed walk with some stop to drink fruit juice.
4) Then meet by chance another MK fan.
5) Then go near the venue to have a good lunch with more MK fans.
6) Then go to the venue and stay waiting seated as long as you can.
7) Choose a not to hot day and dring enough water before get in but not too much not to have to go too early.
8) Although you did not buy through MK.com, very littke people get in before you.
9) Barcode scanner works!
10) Find a nice spot, and able to wait seated again until 5 min prior to the show.
11) Although being second row only, but without pressuring or chit-chatting people behind, you get really some space to breath (and feel the air) and no tall peole in front of you (beware a lot of dutch people are very very tall).
12) Get the band playing at least as well as prior day (if not better) and really fully enjoy this acousticaly wonderful venue.

Yes, coyote without trouble. Tonight it was fish and bird again, switched place with marbletown.

I fixed the stick at the backstage entrance ;D They put the complete concert on it ;)

Hey Poupystar can we expect a dvd with all the videos you filmed from different concerts, could be cool! I don't know though if you would be able to use the Simfy audios because of copyright.

Hi poupystar, nice to see you posting here.
Does that mean boothbay or amsterdam 2008 is coming first?
Did you get all 8 camera sources from front row for the first (amsterdam) show in 2008?
Must be a dream to work with!

Hi Pottel, I crashed my DVD2 of Boothbay (with SBD mixing) and now I can re-edit my project... The menu are very complicate to organize (sub, dolby 5.1, etc...), I not an employee of MK, I must to work also ;-)
I made DVD's only for fans AND FREE. Lot of people sell my DVD for some euros/dollars, not me, I made them only by passion. So please, be patient...

For amsterdam, I've only 3 cams, unfortunately, no cam from the balcony and the audio available is not really great :-(

I am not happy with a video using Simfyrecordings for sound. Filming already disturbes MK a lot and I am afraid that restrictions will be stronger when a lot of people don't respect the policy.
Simfy is legally protected, so using that is illegal and may lead to no available recordings in the future anymore. That's not what we want !

Agreed. You really need the whole concert anyway, these Simfy shows are fantastic.

We really are being spoiled having all these great soundboard recordings. Kudos to MK/PCM etc.

I totally agree with Ingrid. It is v sad that some people don't know what's right and wrong anymore! We were all very lucky that filming was allowed by MK for a long time, now he does not want is anymore. Why can't some people respect that? It is not right! Do you get my point? And using an official recording is illegal and against the law. Please respect the rules of our society! And respect MK's wishes if you are a fan of him...

I always liked the Poupy-DVD's a lot but there's a big difference now:
- at that time filming was allowed
- it was mixed with fanmade audio which was allowed and still is allowed

With not respecting the policy and even go illegal the risk of MK making stronger restrictions (audio and photography not allowed next time) or even worse, because he is not respected he will quit. Then it's great  :disbelief  :disbelief

Don't you all see that he doesn't have to do anything anymore. He has money enough for his life and the life of his children and grandchildren. He is a little grumpy so why should he go on... for pleasing his fans, don't make me laugh. He does what he wants too and if he doesn't like it anymore, because, for example, of the behaviour of the fans he simply quit.

With having this short sight it can be ruined for a lot of us

Just to remind all of you, I've contributed ALL my videos to the Poupystar projects in the past. I've filmed Rotterdam and Amsterdam 2008 in High Definition!!! And I loved to film the shows....because it was allowed then.

But now it is NOT ALLOWED anymore! Just get it! This is a rule! MK can make that rule, it is HIS show and not ours. For me, it is like stealing. It is not right! So I don't film anymore, my high definition camera is highly used though - for private purpose...filming my own family! Get a life :)

BTW, Have you read Guy's answer on his forum? "Yes there's a lot of shite on YouTube, unfortunately a lot of rubbish, get-a-life, dodgy snippets of this tour by folks not observing the no-filming requests too."

Why are there always people who think they can do what THEY want and don't care about rules??? :'(
Do you want to see that PC & Co will walk through the rows and try to get the filmers and throw them out of the venue??? I don't!

But talking about illegal, please remember that this is in fact illegal too! But because of local restrictions I do understand to help someone out and let him/her have the pleasure to listen to it too.

Another good one... RAH policy says "no photos and no audio recording allowed", the MK policy says that when the venue policy says other different thing, they stick to the venue

There are pros and there are cons.

I mean how many show have been recorded or filmed without express consent of the artists?
If some taper had not introduced recording device into a wheelchair how could we enjoy some 77 floyd show show or others artist? And how officialy released "bootlegging the bootlegger" could have been possible?

But in some case, like for Mark, when artist clearly express his wish of not to be filmed this is pretty weird to be close to stage and film anyway.

I don't know the exact reason that made Mark suddenly change his mind on the subject, but that in the attendance there are still enough idiot that can't behave well enough, for example think that taking their crappy (or not crappy) photo is more important than not disturbing other people, and because of them everything in the end tends to be forbidden.

You won't stop people filming, there will always be some who think the policy doesn't apply to them for valid reasons in their eyes (I stand at the back so I don't disturb, I make beautiful DVDs and share them, I am filming for my 98 year old granny who couldn't make the show because she broke her leg rollerblading yesterday, etc). That's a shame because if the policy is not respected, they might decide to enforce it....

Now I'm off to buy a new video camera, any tips? I am going to film the next show I am attending. (The policy doesn't apply to me of course, I am the President!  ;D)

You should not buy a new video camera. Expensive, useless and disappointing object.
I was very excited to buy one a few days before the KTGC tour.
Finally, I did not use it as often as expected. Not worth the money. ;)

I'm not surprised at all. Do some people really think their impudent attempts (and some are really, really impudent) will remain undiscovered?
Well done, if this goes on, we will never ever see an official DVD. I mean, I can understand why fans cling to every straw due to the lack of official video material and I'm not sure if I wouldn't watch a nicely made fan DVD myself but... Some things just go too far.

Why a complete debat about filming? It isn`t allowed, so, done. I can totally understand Guy his reaction. Sorry for everyone who is filming, but as said, in this way we`ll never get a proper official dvd!

If we have to censor ourselve because of being "pointed out" then this is the end of AMIT.

When you are talking in this forum with people of this forum, and someone decides to take the whole conversation upon his own opinion to Guy´s forum, in order to atract his attention to our conversation, pointing to what some of us told here, instead of leave the conversation here, that is what should be.

I´m starting to be tired of people who believe that they are the supreme truth, and nobody is entitled to have other opinion, wrong or right, and when you have the goal is to show to the world how wrong are you, and about certains sarcasms also, honestly.

Let explain me what is the link between people outlawly filming and the fact that Mark does not issue an official DVD.

Just means that he was strongly believing in something and later he was strongly believing in the opposite.

The visual symbol is "he turned his vest over"
I think the translation is to change sides.

Talking about "strange posts" - and I really read some very strange ones las night...
Got some strange mail from an obviously new member (fottmann1) with 0 posts, asking ME in German language about any existing videos from this tour! Why me???
I never had a video camera in my own hands, only camera I ever used was my lovely Canon AE-1....

Strange behaviour, somehow really pisses me off...

And I am sure, it MUST be the heat!

Well, seeing as John W obviously reads this forum, can I offer him a invitation to post his reasons for changing his mind? :)

Have none of you ever changed your mind about anything? A lot has happened since he made that original post. We now know for example that the filming really, really annoys and distracts MK, so perhaps that is why John changed his mind on this matter.

My own view is this.

I don't record video myself, nor do I ecourage others to do so.

However, I admit that I HAVE downloaded DVDs that people have recorded since the filming ban came into place, on the basis that it's already been done and I can't undo it. I have also downloaded DVDs from the 2005 tour with Passalong audio synched to them.

Honest truth is I've never watched any of them though, with a wife and two kids the television is always being used and I don't really get a chace to watch MK stuff, I've only watched Real Live Roadrunning ONCE since it came out 4 years ago and only clips of Alchemy. Much prefer audio that I can listen to on my ipod or in the car, where I am in control. :)

To be honest if I would download one it would be because of my wish to find a souvenir being stronger than respecting Mark's wish of no recording video. And the reason I don't do it is just that I don't like aud video and have no big interest in it.

There will always people trying  to find recording of show even if their fave  artist does not agree with audience recording/filming. And those who are breaking the law while trying to film or record are still fan, surely not respectful fan but they are definitively still fan.

Hmm, well, downloading these DVD's makes it of course very interesting for filmers to make an even more successful DVD next tour. So let's encourage them!!! :lol Spoiling them is spoiling yourself in the end. I don't mind if everyone likes to film which might lead to a non-electronic-device-statement (no photographs, no cell phones, just NOTHING). I don't mind, I am not filming shows, I don't take picutres, I only enjoy the show. If you're filming, you're (only) ruining MK + band and everyone elses' show. But that doesn't seem to be a problem to the filmers because THEY have a video recording after all...

With all respect to the semi-professional filmers in the audience, but the quality in the end is still crap. But anyway, it seems to be interesting to do so (holding up your arms for two hours). By the way, that causes thrombosis, you know that? :lol

And yes, I'd love to see filmers taken out of the venue during the first song and having to wait outside for the rest of the show... Really... So enjoy the show! ;D ;D ;D
