Title: hendrix sounds...
Post by: JF on November 28, 2012, 11:57:56 AM
Well i know it's a MK forum, and this section is about DS/MK covers, but this week-end I had fun trying different Hendrix sounds, so I would like to share it with you.

I just used a drum track from my friend, that was originaly made for my tune "grand espaces" but didn't make the final mix.

I pitched it up for the first jam, and pitched it down a little bit for the the 2nd.

I played guitar with the drum track, and then add a bass.

It might be a little bit boring to listen to the 2 in a row, but here they are :

Don't take it too serious, the playing is dull, and I don't pretend to be a good Jimi impersonation, but I just wanted to know what do you think of my Hendrix tones ? All made on Tonelab st, with a Marshal plexi sim, and adding wah, fuzz, univibe, rotaring cab, or phaser (Jimi didn't use one, but it can sound like univibe)
the annoying thing is there's a little gap when switching from preset to another...

but unfortunately, I don't have the money, nor the place, nor the acoustic, nor the neighbors sufficiently comprehensive, to play with a real 4x12 head, marshall cab, and real stompboxes....

thanks in advance for your comments  :)

Hi this is jamming at the very sense of the word, even if you practically did it by yourself! I could hear some Hendrix notes in there and at times a Hendrix mood, especially on the second song, but I would like to listen to a Hendrix song to know if you have achieved a  Hendrix tone.
