I remember very distincly this beautiful tune/song being played on Radio 1 at the time (1996)

I very soon after hearing this booked up tickets to see Mark & band play at the Bournemouth International Centre in May 1996 during the Golden Heart tour...
The rest is now history!!!

The track for anyone who wasn't aware was used in the 1996 Film - 'Twister'.....

I was at that show too, and I was really excited as it was the first time seeing Mark for me, as I missed out on seeing Dire Straits.

I noticed this while watching Darling Pretty (Promo Video) OFFICIAL on the Mark Knopfler channel.  This flashes for just a second (as the lady in the red coat walks though the cars stuck in traffic).  I am assuming this is Kitty??  Anyway, I thought it was fun to spot this – whoever it is!

Could well be! They married in 1997, but knew each other for three years prior....

I have always thought that "pretty" is "Kitty".
