Title: Making Movies cover
Post by: TheTimeWasWrong on November 13, 2014, 11:18:35 PM
Has anybody ever heard of the painting "Who's Afraid of Red, Yellow and Blue" by Barnett Newman? It's huge! And it looks like this:

I immediately thought of Making Movies when I saw it and just wanted to let you know :)

Great find!
Never had the idea of looking for something like this - but it is not surprising that the best cover of the best band on their best album is inspired by something artistic... the original painting is from 1967 by the way.

Love it!

Mark should buy that and hang it on the wall in BG instead of that stupid scooter.  At least this can remind him of a good album.

It even made the wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Who's_Afraid_of_Red,_Yellow_and_Blue

Connection is not clear, but red colour of this and Making Movies is just the same, not like you can see on the France or Russia tricolour :)

nice!  :clap

The album cover is missing the thin yellow stripe which is present on the right of the painting. Luckily, on the "half-speed" version they have remedied (although the side is wrong)  :lol
