richards last post, today:
Sadly, it was the last show that Nigel Hitchcock will do with us on this tour.  It's been great having Nige along, he's a brilliant musician and wonderful guy and we look forward to seeing him for a short run of dates in October in the States.
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

That's encouraging to hear that Nigel will be with them in the fall. My guess is that this 'mini-tour' will be restricted to major metropolitan areas only: NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, Chicago, St. Louis, Denver, Vegas, San Diego, LA, San Francisco, Seattle and maybe Vancouver

As far as I heard rumours it's even less than that.
Hope official announcement will be very soon. Want to go but all depends on schedule

I am very curious to find out what a "short run of dates" means ::). He needs to hit the west coast for sweetsurrender and the east coast for me  ???
It's hard sometimes but pretty much it's alright

Thanks Joan.  I'm positive CA will get many dates.  Hope you will fly out to catch a few shows with me and some other fans.  All European fans as well are welcome.   Vegas is all about money and good time.  So, they simply have to play there. :)

I'm thinking about Tom Jones' turn in the film Mars Attacks when he's performing "It's Not Unusual" in Vegas when the aliens walk onto the stage.  He turns around in shock saying "Jesus Christ!"  Anyone who's seen the film will know that his bad acting is so bad it's funny and consequently fits in perfectly with the rest of the film! ;D

Do you mind to discuss movies and other stuff in the non-MK-related-section  :think

The movie is on my list of must-sees, so thanks for the mention, dmg.  I will check it out, before I see MK in North America this year -- possibly even in Las Vegas.  (Although I would MUCH rather see MK in Southern/Northern California!!!!)
