I don't believe they ever intended to send them out on the date stated in the first place; it was merely to con the fans into placing orders.  You are quite right to cancel.

It's amazing how well they manage to resist album leaks these days. Some work obviously has been done so the album release date is THE date.

Albums usually leak these days when the master discs go from the studio/label to the CD manufacturers. Somebody either rips a CD on the production line, or steals one and takes it home to rip. With watermarking individual evaluation discs, and therefore the ability to point the finger at the the exact person who has been given it, music journalists and the like won't risk passing copies around. It will probably escape online 1 - 2 days before the 16th, and then people can be disappointed with the sound quality of it before receiving the CD/Vinyl and go wow!

I've just received an e-mail from Amazon to tell me my copy is winging it's way to me now!  They say it's due Friday but we all know any item usually arrives before the date given.

Expect a so called scene release to pop up at least 1-2 days before release.
