What's up with all this talk about track lengths? I've seen it mentioned several times on Guy Fletcher's forum too. Did people really we would get a double CD with two-minute songs?

Having thought about it, these are the track lengths for the vinyl edition, and songs have been known to be edited so they can fit the whole album onto the record. So we may yet find that some of the tracks are longer than this list shows. Just a theory  ;). Not that I'm that bothered about track lengths - a song should be as long as is natural for that song. Whether it's two minutes or a fifteen minute epic, one can be just as effective as the other in my opinion.

Yes - the beginning of 5:15am on the Shangri-La LP is missing; it cuts in shortly before the vocal, and from memory I believe part of Punish the Monkey is missing on the Kill to Get Crimson LP.

Fantastically informative post, a lot of information I wanted is here.

I'm very strapped for cash at the moment, but I do plan on getting the super deluxe edition when I can afford it. And a new record player to appreciate the vinyls!

Thanks again,
JC

Good plan Val,  I'll probably go for the three CD then pick up the box later when it is cheap.

This sucks  :disbelief... why didn't they just put these 3 bonus tracks on the deluxe edition disc 3 and on the box version CD3 also the live tracks. This kind of marketing strategy is what kills the industry too if you ask me. I go for the regular CD and hope I am able to grab the 3 bonus tracks in flac format somewhere from the internet. I really could care less if that upsets Mark or Guy I have purchased the whole DS & MK discography and visited many concerts. It certainly is not me who puts them out of business.

Anyway, did you all notice Follow The Ribbon is more then 8 minutes? This makes me curious. Must be a good song, else you don't stretch it so far to keep it interesting.

If it's very special, we'll hear it eventually, whether we buy the Super Deluxe, or not!   ;)
