MK isn't there, but he is probably not the most influential to Gilmour.

They seem to live on different planets, I've seen Mark mentioning David only once in some obscure magazine. Not that it's a bad thing, and I assume we just know that they respect each other like that's not even need to be said.

Gilmour was at a knopfler show at the RAH more then once. also, they visited each others studios.

The article is mainly about David's influences, so that implies from a time before he was famous, and learning to play/write. Mark came a long way after that, I am sure David would say Mark is a great player and he likes his music though, as has been said, they know each other, it is the sites opinion, more than directly from David though, so I think Mark would be in there. They don't mention BB King either, but it is well known how much David thinks of him.

the article is a load of bollocks by a BS site, people ignore that site, as well as metalhead or whatever it is called. They always come up prominently if you use Google alerts as i do, and they have crappy sensational headlines with crap content.bloodsuckers.

They were both featured in a (French?) guitar magazine somewhere around the STP tour. I have a PDF somewhere. I remember Mark talking about this Steinberger and how compact it is to take it on the road.

There was a mention as far as I remember, but the overall article is so generic, you can almost write it yourself. Like, "David's/Mark's tone is so unique and he's a great player" or something extremely obvious like that as if we never knew that.
