Yes, it is getting more and more crazy in the field of illegal and artificial record-covers. Some people really think, that DS and MK-collectionists are totally stupid people. Very slippery in those traders minds.
A new disgusting example of trying to milk a loyal DS and MK-vinyl-collectionist with a lower collection-experience level.
Dire Straits - Twisting by the pool 3-Track-Maxi-Single with FAKE-Cover from Mexico. Record itself is again a genuine 3-Track-Maxi-Single but the cover and the Promo-Sticker are FAKEs.
DonĀ“t buy it at that seller for the demanded 300 Dollar.

There is a regular 3-Track-Maxi Single of Twisting by the pool in Mexico, similar as the shown record with the green Vertigo label. That regular issue has a totally different record-cover.

Here is another FAKE-Mexico Cover for the 3-Track-EP-SIngle, but a different variant. Also FAKE not genuine cover.

I've got a copy of this one.

Hi Frelon. On some German record-fairs i have seen various so called counterfeit LP-Albums, mostly by rare Progressive- or Krautrock Albums, and i have seen the 1-LP Version of Sydney 1986. I never buy counterfeit-records and i never saw such Mexican FAKE-Promo Cover-versions of Dire Straits LP-Albums on German record fairs. I never will pay hundreds of dollars / euro / pound for such records. Never. It is an artificial "rarity", not a real rare record, because it was "created" to rip off some collectors.

So, this is the real deal. Here we have the ORIGINAL record-cover from Mexico for the Twisting by the pool-12-inch single.
All other variants are FAKE.
