Well I always liked the "It's the end of the thirties/there's no time for arties."I think it says a lot more .The end of thirties that means the beginning of World War ll and he talks about that artist over in Poland ,we all know Poland has suffered a lot during WWll and there was no time for arties .And with the Get Lucky lyric I like the way it sounds even though I don't know what Truffling means(not a native English speaker)but i like it.

First of all, welcome to the greatest MK forum in the world Al!

I understand the line "Bush. . . . Bush."    Clinton was irrelavent in this instance.   Bush the First didn't do that much damage, but Bush the Second could never have been elected without the dyanastical (is that a word?) influence.  Bush II continued his father's conservative policies with no intelligence or decent judgment at all.   Like Henry VI after Henry V, even to the point of his not being able to think enough to rule for himself, allowing corrupt powers behind him to influcence every thing he did.
Uh, am I ranting? :o

I know what you're saying, but the song's written as if it's one President doing a handover to the other, whereas there were of course 8 years and countless interns in between the two Bush's.

OK, first of all he doesn't sing about an artist over in Poland, the artist character singing the song is just saying that it's not a good time to become an artist because war is breaking out over in Poland.

Truffling is looking for truffles, they are buried undergound so you get a do or a pig to sniff them out. So if you have a truffle dog, you can go truffling!

Still a terrible lyric though!

The Heavy Fuel lines seem to be in line with the character of the song. I like them.

I like the Heavy Fuel lyric.   I love the truffle dog.   So, that leaves, by elimination the thirties/arties line.

Yup, seriously, I think it's one of his best songs ever, what don't you like about it?

In the meantime, Jeb Bush, governor of Florida was the other Bush I son, brother to Bush II. At one time they planned to run him for president also for the fiasco of the Florida 2000 election.    But you are right, Matt.   It was interrupted.

And I love the lyrics to Whoop de doo.   :)
