Basil added. Enjoy. Very touching part with half-diminished chord (D9/F# to Bm7b5) in the song, check it out. Amazing, haunting song, brilliant.

UPD: Corrected about 10 small mistakes in Basil. Now almost 100% correct.

Don't refer from making comments on the songs. I have no clue about tabs but find it interesting to read what musos think of the songs.

Well I just made 94 corrections for main album songbook, and here it is, complete and in one piece.
The image in this message and in first message of the topic is clickable and leads to the whole tab.

The other 5 bonus songs will be transcribed tomorrow or as soon as possible to get the full picture. Thanks for watching! I'm 100% confident in this.

Thank you! I think the best use of this apart from to play, is to pick out the song by yourself and compare the results.
And, hopefully, if somebody wants to learn how to play the guitar, he would start with this gorgeous collection of songs.

Yes, I like it, too, though it may be better to actually tab it, not to write in chords.

'Time Will End All Sorrow' added. Tremendous song! Just unbeliveable good. Actually I like Moody in it!

Just 2 songs to go. But I don't have 'Hot Dog' lyrics. Anybody?

I left the most difficult song the last, so after hours of struggle I managed to transcribe... the 'Hot Dog'!

Thanks, foma. Outstanding achievement! Can you point out a little bit your transcribing experience. WHich songs impressed you most? Why? Why exactly was Hot Dog a struggle? Which song you didn't like to transcribe? This is very interesting, because i think you're at the moment the only person (apart from Mark and Guy) who has an deep inside about the musical structure of the songs (i mean transcribing every song on tracker! WOW!) Can you give us some thougts?

Great question, thanks! Thank you Ingrid, too.

Yes, I feel myself now as if I was actually in the studio recording this songs, because to check it out I needed to play it through 50 times each and listen 50 times each. Apart from transcribing, it helped very much to pick up every subtle detail and to dive deep in the song. Good for me as a non-English speaker, too, to read a song word by word.

And imagine what? You can believe or not, but after that I love ALL of them. At first listen I decided to throw ‘Mighty Man’, ‘Long Cool Girl’, ‘Broken Bones’, ‘Silver Eagle’, ‘Wherever I go’ and something else. I liked quite half of an album and was already happy with that. It was pretty hard to play again 'not mine songs', but after transcribing I love them as much as songs I loved immediately.

I think what cause this, is that I know exactly what I need  to hear in a song to love it. In 'Mighty Man' is this medieval colour given by Bb Major chord, and very subtle chorus. I just wait for that and love the song.

Long Cool Girl is very classy structured song. It's in 2/4, almost reggae feeling, and it was hard to figure out when it starts actually. But it looks cool when written down. Most of the parts are repetitive, but you'll never notice that.

Skydiver and Basil used some interesting chords/bass joints, Silver Eagle is very Sailing To Philadelphia like, cool rhythm.

So basically, I think every Mark's song have something what can drive you to love it. And they all are beautiful when written down.

Although all this being said, I don't get 'Hot Dog' yet. And struggling part was just a joke :lol

Thank you!

Foma maybe you can try Hot Dog with capo on 3, and then play a riff with both the A and D string covered, and then hammer on the E string. Do you get what I'm saying or do I have to film it? Sounds nicer and plays easier! let me know

Yes, I got it. Works well, I think I'll edit my version of it. I think this is one of the songs where many ways actually works.

Use your knowledge of sixth intervals on the fourth and second strings in Gm/Bb for the Signature riff.
Slide to the 12th and 11th frets on those respective strings and descend from there... tabs suck :)

Hmm I just bothered to watch the German video of him playing it, and he does nothing the way I imagined except right at the end, and even then he does his special Sultans shake across three strings, not two :)

Yes, I deliberately refused to write any tabs in its original form (e. g. solo transcribed). That must be your personal effort and nothing else.
In other hand, chords is a handy source of knowledge about the song. And you can play it on any instrument, you can't play tab on the piano.

And solos is just too easy to transcribe (I mean rock/blues guitarists solos, not metal and jazz ones), so I decided to not bother at all.
Also, if you check out all the bad covers on YouTube, solos may be kiiiiiinda right, but the chords almost always are totally messed up.

I didn't expect that, but Beryl Chords (http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/m/mark_knopfler/beryl_crd.htm) got 9k views and 20 stars already. I must say it's a lot! Going to be a new record in solo Mark tabs also.

The second most popular song is a Basil (http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/m/mark_knopfler/basil_crd.htm), which doesn't surprise me since it's one of the best Mark's acoustic songs to play along. Keep on Knopflering!

Well, I'm pretty sure it was Gibson Advanced Jumbo for rhythm (which was used also in True Love Will Never Fade for instance). Then there's a tenor guitar which sounds like a mandolin, played by Mike McGoldrick and the cittern. Not sure about electric guitar, but maybe Pensa? Or LP.
