The six degrees of separation theory
« on: December 18, 2016, 05:49:59 PM »
I guess that most of you heard about the six degrees of separation theory... If not you can check it:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_degrees_of_separation

Basically it says that everyone is connected with everyone in the world, and there is only six people needed to make the connection, you know, I know someone who know someone...

I was thinking about it...

How much degrees of separation are between you and Mark Knopfler?

Funnily, in my case, just two, and depends on how close you want that relation to be, it could be even one degree... Three degrees in the worst case.

What about you?
You might get lucky, now and then

Not what I want anyway, but I guess less than six degrees from me to Mark, it's true.

I think it's true because of statistics, like if you have 367 people in the room, you will have a 100% chance of two people sharing a birthday. But you will get a very high chance of it, more that 50% if there's 25 people in the room, there was a great video on this topic, a very good one. I'll post it here if I find it.

Statistics is a very good thing.
