I fully agree! It was just related to Mark, so I thought I might share it. Who knows, maybe someone enjoys the reading :)

No problem, mate.  It is just such an old idea, to use songtitles like that. Didn't somone do that with Elvis songtitles as well ...?

Mark did it with Lonnie Donegan's songs in "Donegan's Gone".    :)

Yeah, I thought it was crap.

To change the topic slightly, and apologies to MK, but Lonnie Donegan was crap too. Listen to Leadbelly singing Midnight Special, then Lonnie Donegan. Donegan's version is a very poor imitation.

British equivalent of Pat Boone doing rubbish versions of Little Richard songs to play on white radio.  :-\

I used to love Lonnie, way back in the 50's - he could do no wrong, but I've grown up now!    ;D

Best version of "Midnight Special" is from CCR anyway.  ;)

Never listened to Lonnie Donegan, but Leadbelly is amazing. Listened to some of the stuff on YouTube, inter alia Midnight Special, and that's really haunting stuff. Love Pick a bale of cotton. Such a drive and groove he gets out of that 12-string guitar. Another amazing guy is the late Joseph Spence from the Bahamas.

Well, according to Dusty's law!  Doesn't make it fact though. ;)
