I have a little video taken on my mobile phone, from which I'd like to extract a still from.
Recently, while downloading the new messenger, I got "Windows movie maker" which allows me to do just that.... except that it doesn't support the format my video's in.
So, my questions to you technogeeks out there is:
- how do I convert my mobile video into an avi or mpg format
OR
- do you know of a (free) programm which could allow me to extract a picture from my video. As I am a dumb blond, I don't know what format my video is in but you might?
Thanks in advance!!

Hi there, I'm not expert at all, but I hope to be of help. Your mobile phone video could be mp4 format. Try with this software:
http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_free/
it's free, light and simple to use
Charge your video and then select the output format, It could work.
It's very useful also to get videos from youtube (and to convert them)
Let me know.
Cheers,
Fabio

Hi Fabio.
thanks for that. I have downloaded it but (I warned I was dumb), I can't seem to be able to chose the output format. I clickedon convert anyway and it converted it into a format that is not recognised by movies maker!
