When the original “24 nights” double album came out I was a big fan of this release and played it to death. Later on I discovered a lot of soundboard bootlegs of these shows which were used for the official release and I played them even more. The more I listened to these recordings I realized maybe this is Claptons best live period.
Earlier this year Clapton announced a re-release of “24 nights”. And I got really excited when I find out that this release contains 3 full concerts and the shows also on dvd. And I have been blown away with the new version. All different shows: blues, rock and with orchestra are sounding way better then the original double album.
This release is really a must have if you are a Clapton fan.

Edge Of Darkness from the 1991 CD's remains the one to listen.
And the mastering is LoudnessWarLand certified.
On the other hand the Blues night CD, despite being incomplete, is the real deal,

a matter of taste, may all time fav EC live album is EC was here
I far prefer his 70's era than the 80-90's one

I've been listening to it in my car the last couple of days.
