Not very precise yet I know, but just heard that MK will be featuring on the Jackie Brambles show on Greatest Hits Radio here in the UK ‘in the next few weeks’. Mark will be taking part in her ‘Great Conversations’ slot which usually starts just after 20.00.
Presumably this will happen around the time of the album release, but if anyone hears the precise date announced in due course then perhaps they could be kind enough to post it here?
Best wishes all,
Harry

It's the most listened to show on UK radio with 6.9m listeners, so good publicity for the new album.
Not sure what MK's "final" Tracks of His Years means though... has he ever been on this feature before?

Ignore me, it's final because it's the Friday show.

VK is just not my taste and am one of the 1.3m who left when he took over KB, good luck to the 6.9m who enjoy listening to him...

MK sits with a guy called Gary Davies if that helps?

It happens every time a radio station tries to modernise, the numbers go down as the "older" listeners leave in a huff, but they gradually get replaced with younger listeners. That's what the radio station wants to happen. It happened when Terry Wogan left Radio 2, it happened when the likes of Dave Lee Travis left Radio 1 in the 1990s, it's just something the radio stations have to do to keep whatever their chosen demographic.
-
Mark is on that programme the whole week.
-
Good find Vesper!
-
Sorry, yes,I should have explained, it’s a short segment where the guests choose their favourite songs.

Correct! As we all know for example a lot of people including myself went from Radio 1 when Chris Moyles left, but now he is rebuilding his audience on Radio X...

A LOT of presenters on both BBC TV and radio are leaving or being let go because of 'diversity and inclusion'. In other words discrimination.

Mark is on that programme the whole week.
Has anybody listened to this?
-
Oops, forgot. Will go and check out on catch-up :)
-
Is anyone of you guys in the UK recording these?

I checked and MK has been replaced by Ruby Wax for some reason. Hopefully he's on next week.
The BBC appear to offer an hour long download with all the parts combined so that should be easy to capture. :)
-
Mark could have joined Ruby for a re-creation of the time he played her Rock and Roll Ruby.

Oh, thanks! Will check if this works from the continent. Sometimes I feel like I'm living in some third-world country here because most of the BBCs stuff is blocked, and I can't get a British Sky Arts subscription even though I'd be ready to pay double the price.

It's to do with licensing, they sell a lot of this stuff overseas.

Using Friday as an example, MK no longer has the pressure of playing and so he can relax now and enjoy speaking!

I get that impression too. I wonder if we'll ever see him with a guitar in hand ever again after the Christie's interview.

I suppose we can live in hope but I don't hold out much hope to be honest..
