Also completely nonsense is to give all the security the setlist, as if they would recognize the songs... :disbelief

Talking about bad reviews  :P

A Norwegian newspaper from Bergen said that Mark Knopfler just had released his new album "Guilty" (not Get Lucky), and that "the drummer from Dire Straits Pick Withers was sitting behind the drums"... yeahh... I don

Thanks for the info, marky49, have a good rest at home.  :)

Thanks Allen. 9 shows in a row are just too many. But the tour schedule has almost all German shows in a row. And who wants to miss when Mk plays infront your 'doorstep'?
Glad to be with the family now and catching up again. Tomorrow we'll be flying home to London and watching THE match! Will be a family crisis.... :)

Hi all, back from a very nice trip to Munich  :)

Great concert, again no Cleaning My Gun BUT Why Aye Man, yay! Sound was really good for an open air venue (and a beautiful venue it is). Some people were a little annoying as always, especially the too-late-arrivers with their big beers in their hands. And those Schicki-Micki-Tussis (sorry, I can't think of an appropriate translation at the moment) who were leaving because it had become quite windy at some point during the last halt of the show. They must have been worried about their haircut... There were people trying to walk to the front to take pictures but were told off by a security guard. And then, one woman walked by the stage, stopped for a moment, took out her cell phone, made a pic, and walked towards the exit... Mark noticed of course and looked at her with a puzzled look.

I was in row 4, quite far on the left but with an unobstructed view on the guitar  8)
The "running of the bulls" happened quite early at the beginning of TR and I made it to the front. As marky49 already said, the stage was quite far away but I had a great view. Oh, how I wish I would have had my "proper" camera with me  ;D

All in all, a rocking concert. By the way, here are two pictures of our pre-concert meeting at the Park Caf

goldenheart,  without a doubt it's the new shirt. ;) I personally think Mark looks sexier when he dresses like this.

ummmm, the new shirt had an effect on me. Because, I actually  dreamt of him last night.  A very nice one. ( I knew it was from seeing MK in the new shirt pictures from marky before I went to sleep last night) It was even better in my dream, he was in a leather jacket and was in such a joyous mood.  There was a young gal on the stage with him. Darn, it wasn't me.  But it almost seemed like I was the only there almost like a concert but wasn't.  Anyway,...

I don't know what it was but I "felt" the music quite intensively that evening... It was great to watch Mark, his face when he was concentrating... Those moments were almost intimate. Yes, the term "sex face" comes to my mind again but I won't elaborate any further... You know what I mean.
I know these observations are not new, I just noticed them more than usual during that concert.

I had a serious fangirl attack when Mark rolled up the sleeve of his shirt before R&J... marky49 had mentioned his strong arms before so I paid extra-close attention. And even though I was quite a bit away, I could see his tendons move etc. I know it sounds completely silly but it made me squee inside. Mark's whole appearance seemed especially sexy to me that evening, I don't know why... Must have been the new shirt  ;D

Maybe it was the sushi on the train that made Mark so....  :-*

Hey, Joko, thanks for your nice review! Would have loved to be there! A question to you and everybody else who was there:  Did Guy's keyboard problem spoil the first songs? And it was obviously a very good show. So can you recommend Munich as another Simfy Download?

Hey LE, was real pity that you could not attend this gig. I could see that there were problems with Guy's keyboard, but IMO that did not spoil the first songs. I think the show itself is definitely worth  to download. Though there should be permitted some thoughts  about weaknesses of the simfy recordings in general.

Indeed! Compared to the first London show, the Hamburg recording f.e. sounds not too good in my opinion. Not very well balanced. The audience is way
too loud, also some of the "second guitars" or "third citterns" are louder than MK himself. But the show was sooo great that it cannot be spoiled by this to me.

Joko, I will not miss Munich again he he. Next tour I will be there, whereever he is playing. Hopefully the K

Geez, I can live with negative reviews as long as the writer is able to express his opinion properly and is able to tell the reader why he thinks the show he attended wasn't great. What I can't stand is the stereotypical writing of some nostalgia naggers, as I call them, who simply express their disappointment because MK didn't play more Straits stuff etc. And the second thing that makes me cringe is bad research. I know it's difficult to be sent to an event you probably don't want to go, and to write about something you're not that familiar with. But I just don't get why some journalists can't even use Google to do some research. Plus, if you're sent to a concert, you should at least have an ear for good music...

As for MK's sexiness, yes, the shirt did make him look hot... Not sure about the sushi, though  ;D

Yes, they are. This wasn't always the case. I was referring to the other 10 percent - they're in the minority but still annoying  ;D
