He doesn't say it's his last tour and it doesn't have to be his last tour.
Looking at this massive schedule doesn't indicate he is on the brink of breakdown.
He can still tour on a smaller scale.
A little less negativity.
He is not dead yet!

Just look at this massive schedule. You don't do that if you're on the brink of breakdown.
He can still tour on a smaller scale.

Yes, of course, but it sounded as though he was preparing us for a slowdown.   Maybe he will do shorter tours in future.   :)

Floor row 1-10 is clear to me. It's the first 10 rows IMO

yes correct, I have been to the Verona Arena several times, from Dire Straits 1992 until Gilmour 2016

if it's true (and I hope you are right), why - in God's name - why does mk.com not use  the official declaration from the seating plan "1st sector stalls GOLD" instead of "Floor sections row 1-10" ? That can't be so difficult ... or what ?
On the other side mk.com uses for all other italian gigs (Milan, rome, Lucca, Rimini) their respective official declaration ... so it's possible ... but only for Verona they use a fanciful declaration, which can't be found in any official seating plan !
So I hope for necessary clarification from mk.com.

I wouldn't be troubled with the exact wording as mk.com always sell the first rows.
Of more importance is the huge interest in the Verona gig, so no one should be too angry when ending up in row 10 (even at 10.01. as with past RAH presales) or not getting a ticket in the presale at all.

And too busy to say he was busy...

And it isn't what John and Guy said... Personal reasons... That are not personal reasons but professional reasons...

How exactly does the ticket pickup system work? For every concert you have to pickup your ticket at the day of the show at the venue? Did that work properly without any problems during last tours? It's my first time using the official (pre-)presale on markknopfler.com  ;)

Has worked perfectly well except that you must bear in mind that you must enter the venue with the people you purchase the tickets for because they ask for the card used to purchase the tickets.

I did have an issue at the RAH last tour when they printed the tickets in the vestibule on the way in so there was no way out afterwards. They printed my ticket for the wrong seat.  I noticed their error, enquired about it and it turned out someone else with the same name had purchased that seat. Good job I noticed before I entered though.  That was the poor RAH system though; other venues have them ready printed.

I don't see too much discussion here about the North American dates, many of which have the presales coming up shortly as well.

I was trying to see which show(s) I wanted to see, and if my information was right, I was shocked at the NY City Beacon Theater ticket prices.   Assuming that we get the best seating, and that those tickets would be the highest priced ones, it shows $260 (without fees) as the top ticket price!   Many of the other Northeast USA area shows top out at around half that ticket price.   Just thought I would mention that in case anyone blindly goes to buy the tickets for NYC, without being prepared for the possible pricing!

The Beacon offers tickets for $70 as well, just not front row
