Did it ever have an "official" DVD release?

Seems you can get it officially here, for $90.

Yes, it was released on VHS (1998) and DVD (2000) in UK  under title "Chet Atkins and Friends", I got the DVD at HMV shop in London in 2004. The DVD had a simple transfer from VHS with 4x3 AR and Dolby 2.0 sound. By the way the record is fantastic.The price was for about 12 GBP. My friend got my disc 3 years ago and still does not get back  >:(

In US, VHS tape was released only, it was titled Chet Atkins and Friends - Music From The Heart

I remember seeing it recently in some shops here in Germany for less than 5
