Nice one.
If they play TOL, I have no other choice than doing all the shows now. 8)
Need to get in touch with Isaac.

Guy's answer:
No, that's rubbish. I never said anything of the sort. He actually categorically didn't want to play that tune as it was suggested by one of the band. ---You Got Me
So.. The band suggested to play TOL, but Mark didn't want it... That realy realy sucks... :'(
He also said:
As for oldies, there were a few brief suggestions met with a short, sharp 'no'.
Come on... Hey plays the same setlist over and over again and refuses some old song suggestions... It's no fair :'( :P :disbelief >:(

"..short, sharp , NO..."
Mr K is the ultimate grumpy old man!!!! :o

Nothing surprising ...
Everybody here can write down the next setlist with only 3 or 4 mistakes. 8)
Even the order could be predictable.
To be honest, I would be very disappointed if he happened to play TOL again.
He would probably try to shorten the intro and ... ruin the song.
He'll play Monteleone and not TOL ! And I'm paying for that ;)

Good point. He is making a new album and touring every two years, lets not be too critical. I love seeing him live even if he plays the same old songs.

Setlist with only 3 or 4 mistakes ...........
I remember a night in 2008, night before the first show of the tour (In Amsterdam)
There was someone named Pottel, he already arrived at my home. We had a long nice night in different pubs and when we came back we wrote down a setlist in another forum (this one didn't exist by then). With some rarities in it. And guess what, even with at least a barrel of beer in our body we had most of them right ;D But to be true, it was joking around and meant as dreaming on, but still it was mainly right

After Dan's joke, I'm prepared for this one ! Didn't get me. :lol

MK could never ruin TOL, no matter what innovations. But he's not going to play it in concert, so we need to accept that. Agree with Dusty. I'm grateful that he's still working--putting out new cds and touring. Grumpy or not, he still has a very very sexy grin.

Water of Love from Vaison '96 was amazing. One of my favourite songs of all time. :P

*Hhhmmmm let met think and read it again* ....I don't know in what mood Mark was in the time of Dire Straits and of course I can't compare his performances on stage at that time and now, BUT ........I think Mark sure was in the mood playing Telegraph Road and Speedway, and other songs during the KTGC Tour! Those 2 songs weren't my favourite and I didn't play them often before, BUT after the concert they are my favourites. I was blown away by the power, the sound and ......It was sooooo great and wonderful that I wish he would play them again! ;)
MK was in a very rock and roll mood, he was hungry of success, he just hired Jimmy Iovine (one of the best) for that record, changed the DS style to a more direct rock and roll sound, also had Roy Bittan on piano to make it sound everything rockier.
MK is not in that mood anymore, he is more into the songwriting thing, and TR is like that, it tells a story with a very atmospheric sound, it fits very well with everything he
