Title: Tickets for Hannover & Hamburg were shortened
Post by: Darling Pretty on April 15, 2010, 05:04:26 PM
I just saw that for the Hamburg show 6 complete blocks were closed because of not so good ticket sales.
I think that some people were upgraded to a better block then.

Same for Hannover.
There they closed the rows from row 4 on in all upper blocks.

Uh Uh

Where  can you see it? The Eventim.de site doesn't tell about sellings or not.. Only about availibilty? They might be sold to other promoters?
What is you source if you don't mind?

And another question: How do you get informed when you are upgraded? Maybe you don't want to be upgraded for certain reasons? I am just thinking..

For me it is just theoretical interest because I think it can't get better than row 1 in my opinion :D :lol

I am watching it very regularly and yesterday the blocks were free.
Today they are blocked.
And the more expensive blocks had less tix available.
So I think they switched some people.

They often do it like that when an artist e.g. sells only half of the venue.
I was told that they did on a concert of a certain Mr Carpendale...

That's really painful to hear  :'(
On the other hand, no ticket sales without decent promotion - whether grumpy MK and PC like it or not!

Maybe the casual fans don't like a lecture before a concert, then have fellow fans swore or pointed at?  Just a thought...

hmmm hello dmg. hope you're well. while you might be right, I think MK has a right to be a bit annoyed...! but, as I've said previously, while everyone seems to think that the guy videoing the show was breaking the rules and doing something he shouldn't, how many others will happily download the concert from Dime and any other places?

Help me out here dmg, it's late at night and I'm not sure I can follow you... Why do you think the "casual" fan would boycott MK's shows because of the recording policy thing? I don't think the occasional MK listener even knows about how things escalated two years back...
As I said before, I rather think it's a question of good promotion - or lack thereof.

I rather think PC's pre-show speech spoils the nice atmosphere that builds up just before the band come out.  Also, as a hardcore fan I will always attend his concerts but some people may not be impressed if they see an artist pointing out fans to be ejected.

Did any of yuo received any notification of your tickets being upgraded?

I also confirm that PC speech before the show ruins the ambient a bit, he doesn
