There's only one song I want MK to end with ... Going Home
I grumble about SFA, Done with Bonaparte, SL but I want playing Going home as end of the concert ...

remembrance day?
-
Just got home and trying to catch up. Coyote performed is fantastic. The band really enjoys playing it. If the audience will react to it the MK must want them too, surely it will stay.
-
recorded marie ;D ;D ;D ;D ?
-
yes recorded! first light review sounds really good--except for Border Reiver. The input level was way too high and I don't like the distortion. I get it settled down midsong, so I have to decide hou to include it in the recording. Friday's project!

oohh.... sounds like we may have another treat coming our way! niiiice.
I'm nt a bit fan of Song For Sonny Liston, but even so, it's still good to see the variation on the setlist...

I don't think IrisRose was at Temecula. :-\

So, was she talking about Santa Rosa concert then? I misunderstand that then as we are in the Temecula thread and she said she recorded :(

I was confused by that conversation between Irisrose and Pottel as well. Really thought that she meant she had recorded Temecula.
Perhaps Irisrose would be good enough to clarify which concert she was talking about, so that sanity can be restored ;D
Thanks.

So I was right, Coyote was the next to go. :o

I'm not Irisrose but I know she was at Santa Rosa, not Temecula. Any reviews of Temecula? I guess it's only 9:00 a.m. in California ::)

Mark keeps asking me how you pronounce the name of this town, I correct him and our driver confirms this.
Because he wanted to play SFA, ;D

Sorry everyone. Allen tells me I posted in the wrong place. They played Coyote in Santa Rosa. I hope they bring it back into the setlist. I did not go to Temecula. Only Santa Rosa. Eugene was planned but did not happen. We can thank the MK ticket sellers for that. Sweetsurrender went to Temecula.

What happened, if I can ask?
My husband is now in a wheelchair and I had requested appropriate seats from the MKsite. There is a place to do that on the order. When, weeks later, we got the assignment, I checked with the theatre, itself. Not in wheelchair access. I wrote to Lisa, the ticket person at MK.com. Eventually, we got an email saying that we had tickets--they were in the very last row of the theatre. But the top dollar price for front tickets had not been reduced. I began a letter campaign to her, and she never did answer, until two weeks ago, telling me that she had changed our tickets again. Unfortunately, they still were not wheelchair access. So we just shined Eugene. It wasn't worth the two day drive. I should have gotten tickets for Oakland and Santa Rosa. But I chose Eugene because usually a recording does not come out of there. Luckily for all of us, one did!
BTW, she never did get Santa Rosa right either. I had other help there. Thank you Ian!
-
So the MK.com people would have to receive a nice mail from you... Do you think a mail to Paul Crockford (I think he kinds of owns the bussiness that has the mk.com site in any way) would serve to avoid this kind of things to others in the future?
-
Dear IrisRose, I am sorry to hear that you were able to visit only one concert. I know you are a big fan for such a long time.

Off the top of my head I recall that the mk.com homepage is operated by a canadian provider. They are providing service for a lot of artists, in case you're interested in details - just have a quick google with their canadian address which is shown here: markknopfler.com/info/mk_privacy.aspx

Yeah, that's what it looks like but come on I bet it was only a simple digital camera or maybe even a mobile phone , I don't think he should be stared or pointed because of that! Ridiculous!

I always thought that the new policy against video recordings caused lot of paranoid reactions from MK, the abdn, etc etc
And it was all because of those idiots that showed their dvds to Paul in Amsterdam...
-
if i am not mistaken, those guys were actually some of the original photographers mentioned on the Alchemy live cd. (from holland, forgot his name, but look on the cd and if you see a dutch name amongst the photographers, it's him)
